Lately, I’ve been feeling pretty over the whole hiring-a-masseur thing. Prices keep climbing, but the quality? Falling faster than my patience! Most guys don’t even have the basics down—you could hand them a YouTube tutorial, and they’d level up instantly, but it feels like even that’s too much effort.

So, I’m hiring less and less these days. The options are slim, and a lot of masseurs don’t even bother with a proper table or decent lotions. I mean, I’m here for a massage with sensual elements, not some budget-level improv session.

But honestly, I think part of the blame is on us. If a masseur throws in some extras like oral or more, they’re showered with 5-star reviews and clients happily fork over whatever they charge. It’s like we’ve traded actual massage skills for... extracurriculars. And here I thought I was booking a massage, not a game of ‘how far will it go.

I couldn’t agree more. Prices up and quality down. If they don’t have a table I don’t go. It’s quite alarming when they want 250 but don’t have the skills and value to back it up. I’m happy to pay when the quality and experience are there, but that’s hard to consistently find. Maybe that’s why I like the thrill of the hunt haha. I always appreciate all of your advice @7829V 🙌

Did someone ever satisfy you because of his looks, massage techniques and happy ending(s)? Stick to him!

I agree with the overall theme here. When I see prices of $200 to $300, I expect much more than just a HE or even sexual contact. I expect actual massage technique.

I've had three of those over the last few years in DC, and they all eventually left DC. The most recent being November.

I’ve actually found myself in a local Asian place for a decent massage, nothing extra.  Some of those older ladies are strong lol.

Agreed. When I want real body work I go to the Thai place, 90 mins for 110 bucks and it’s incredibly deep tissue from those grandmas! When they ask me how deep, I actually say medium lol 💪

That's common sense!

I agree. I also see a problem with too many clients wanting to have a cut-and-dry answer to their exact expectations with massages. Here are a few facts:

  • The masseur profession is poorly, if at all, regulated. Anyone can claim to be a masseur and there's no proving otherwise.
  • Many men want escort services for massage prices. I have gotten escort experiences from masseurs, but: (a) some upsold it for an additional cost, (b) some just liked me, and (c) it was their prerogative, they are not mandated to do anything other than a massage. I also have the understanding that I might or might not get anything extras.
  • There's no specific definition or line that differentiates sensual from erotic massages. What is erotic to some is just sensual to others. There will never be a clear, one definition for those things.
  • The masseur calls the shots. He decides if he wants to offer extras, and what, when and to whom to offer such extras. That's just the nature of the setting.
  • It is on us to determine the chances for getting a quality massage. I don't think that I should complain if what got me to reach out to the masseur was the pictures of his ass, not his credentials or experience, and then I get a poor massage.
  • When a masseur I am interested in has profiles in both the massage and the escort website, then I have an idea of (a) his level of willingness (not a guarantee) to offer more than a massage, but also (b) the chances of upselling services.
  • What we communicate is as important as how we communicate it. It's not OK to text questions that might get the masseur in legal trouble.
  • At some point we're going to be disappointed, scammed, conned, or experience something negative. I've shared in this forum that I have been recorded (at least twice) without my consent by masseurs. I got terrible massages, and mediocre extras. It's just part of what we encounter with every service that we hire.

I have identified masseurs that offer the different things that I like getting when I'm in the mood for something in particular. My favorite therapeutic masseur was a physical therapist and provides an excellent and very professional therapeutic massage. I also have one or two that are as good with the massage as they are with the extras. I have one or two who are terrible masseurs but great at the extras.

I personally have learned to live with the fact that it is a gamble, there is a risk to not obtaining what we have in mind, that the experience might not be as fulfilling as we expect, and that some people have no business doing any kind of massage, yet they can.

I think somebody just needs a good massage.

Or a good…?!? 😜

I just found a masseur (who has been discussed on this site) who is a fantastic fuck (to me) and spends barely any time on the massage. While I’d love an excellent, or even solid, massage, I’m not complaining about getting escort services at current masseur prices. I’ll probably keep going back, and find someone else for a good massage.
