For me it’s been

- towel warmer

- heated table

- masseur covering my feet so they don’t get cold.

- hot stones

- long hug and kiss before session

- when the masseur undresses me

- when the masseur showers me after the session

- when they text after the session with a short thank you text

- scalp, feet and hand massage

Yes, yes, yes,and yes!

Now, how often do any of those things happen?

In my experience…..1.47% of the time.

Yeah. Not that often. Lately I’ve been very disappointed with the “new” generation of masseurs. I’ve hired some great masseurs in the past… because of this (for better or worse) my standards are very high.

If we’re talking providers, I have so many happy memories and beautiful moments. One that really stands out? I remember walking him to the door, tucking the white envelope into his back pocket, giving his ass a gentle squeeze, and thanking him so much for his time. The hug lingered longer than usual. I closed the door, but maybe ten seconds later, there was a knock. I glanced around the room, wondering if he’d left something behind. Had I accidentally short-changed him?

When I opened the door, he looked at me and said, “I forgot something.” Before I could respond, he stepped back in, grabbed my face, and kissed me!

for me, a combo of these:

- promptness when responding/easiness of scheduling

- cleanliness of the studio

- playlist with no ads + nice speaker setup

- being present (distractions away)

- good scalp/feet/hands massage

- verbal affirmation (it sounds weird, but if he whispers "good job" after pressing on a knot, i love it)

- warm towelS for after the session

- not rushing

and probably some more, but these are important. sadly, not a lot of providers are able to offer these

Some of the things you mentioned are what I’d consider the baseline for good service—not necessarily a ‘WOW’ factor. For me, the ‘wow’ factor comes when someone goes above and beyond basic service and good business practices.

This reminds me of a thread I started years ago called ‘Masseur Best Practices.’

A passionate goodbye kiss at the end is my litmus test 😂

Does it happen often to you?

Fully agree! It’s bad I had to point out some baseline basic service/good business practice for the wow factor, but sadly, there’s only a handful providers in the Bay that are able to provide things mentioned.

Will check your thread. Thanks for sharing

I know! It’s surprising how some providers keep raising their prices as if their service meets high standards. Ironically, the truly skilled masseurs with excellent service often have more reasonable rates. When prices are high—almost like escort rates—the quality of both their massage and business practices is often disappointing.

"Aftercare" is important. The lingering touch, head massage, and gentle lapping up of the jouissance are all plusses of a great escort.  My regular has become an addiction because he does all these things.

English is not my 1st language. So I had to ask ChatGPT.  Is it correct?

The phrase “and gentle lapping up of the jouissance” combines poetic and psychological language, and it may carry a sensual or intimate tone, depending on the context. Here’s a breakdown:

Gentle lapping up: This phrase suggests a slow, tender, and perhaps delicate approach to experiencing or savoring something, like taking it in carefully and fully.

Jouissance: A term often used in psychoanalytic theory, especially by French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan, to describe a form of intense pleasure or enjoyment. Jouissance can mean more than ordinary pleasure; it implies a kind of overwhelming, almost transcendent enjoyment, sometimes bordering on excess or even discomfort.

Together, the phrase implies savoring a deep, layered experience of pleasure or fulfillment in a slow and delicate way. Depending on the context, it might describe emotional, intellectual, or even sensual pleasure.

I had some great experiences, etc.  Sessions that afterwards I thought "that was fantastic!"... and desired repeats.

But the single biggest wow was a guy from RM based in SoCal.  I arranged a meeting when I was down there on a worktrip and then I had to cancel.  I was surprised to see his ad in NorCal, reached out.  He was fairly open, said he was coming up to help his sister move, just hoped to offset trip expenses.

I arranged for him to come to my home, something I very rarely did, particularly first visit.   Agreed to meet at a coffee place nearby.  He was driving.  I was so eager while he was en route, I looked again at his ad, tried to find more info.  And a reverse image search revealed the pictures were some model that was then in Europe.  I was frustrated, contacted him, started canceling.   He called, said he'd had horrible experience using his own pics, asked that I please meet him at the coffee shop, if i didn't like what I saw, he'd walk away, no hassles.  I agreed, thinking worst case, I'd only waste 5-10 minutes.

When I saw the guy walking down the sidewalk at the coffee place, I had a wow moment.  Like, stunned, weak-kneed.   Better looking, imo, than the pics he was using.  Dressed to perfection to show off a jacked body, without some obvious cliché tank top or compression shirt.  Maybe the wow reaction was due to having lowered my expectations after discovering the fake pics.  I'm a conservative guy, very reserved... but I think he could have gotten me to start the session in the adjacent parking lot.   I hired him several times after that, including overnights.

That’s very big of you to give him a chance! Not sure I would’ve gone through with it. At a very basic level, there’s just an expectation to actually be the person you’re advertising. Using someone else’s photos is pretty messed up—especially for the other guy, who has no business in this business. Trust is such a big part of these exchanges, and that’s a very hard way to start.

Agree.

He had a pretty convincing reason.  He was already on his way to my neighborhood, Midway 5-hour drive.  Very polite.

I'll acknowledge that I'm very skeptical, a real caveat emptor hirer.  Frankly, I probably declined 75% or more of the hiring contacts I initiated over the years because I felt I was being scammed.  And had more than my share of showing up to guys who didn't remotely match their pics.   Or guys who simply never showed.

If he'd have been in SF requiring me to drive, I'd have canceled.  If I was in a hotel while traveling, I would have canceled.   But a 5-minute walk to a local coffee place... I figured "what the hell, little to lose"

I give you a lot of credit—really. I think I would have been pissed off in the moment.

When I go into an experience, I’m as open, present, and engaged as possible, and I expect the same from the provider. Honesty is key, especially with advertised photos. I get that he had a bad experience with his own pictures, but using someone else’s is just repeating the same thing that was done to him—and the person in those photos has no idea they’re being used for escorting.

This puts the client in a tough position, having to decide on the spot whether to stay or leave.

Then there’s the bigger question: if the photos aren’t real, what else in the ad copy might not be accurate? It’s a tough way to start and definitely not the best path to building trust or encouraging repeat business.

I’m glad it worked out for you.

I was on a trip with my husband, visiting his family, so my time and choices were limited. I picked a RM masseur who wasn't 100% my type, but I thought, what the heck. He was also traveling, and as I undressed in his hotel room, when I dropped trou, he came over and grabbed my balls and said "Wow, really nice nuts." I thought "Wow, this is going to be good." Ten minutes into the massage, he said "you don't really want a massage do you?" since my hands and tongue were all over him. We spent the rest of the hour going at it, and I got the fucking of my life from probably the biggest cock I've ever taken. "Wow."
