Are e-mails essentially the way of the dinosaur by providers?

Reviving this since I'm now crossing off a third potential hire due to not responding to my e-mail at all. I'm guessing that some of the massage sites require you to have one? Otherwise, why bother to provide one if you don't care to check for possible clients?!? Back in 1999, e-mail was, as the hipsters used to say, "the shit", as in awesome. I still think it's awesome.

I detest texting. Passionately. I know the civilized world today rattles off texts faster than an actual vocal conversation. It takes me literally 10 minutes to send a text, and I would rather - gasp - call the # and talk rather than text.

Which massage sites do you refer to? Because I know on RentMasseur, one can disable email messages accordingly. And of course it’s definitely not 1999 lol, however email is still the shit: in the form of instant messaging. Now THAT was the shit I remember lol.

I can do RentMasseur emails, but not so much RentM instant messages. I always try to send at least 1 reply even after my auto message goes out: just to let them know I’m real. But not many seem to transition to phone. I won’t use messenger solely to book an appointment.

I rarely ever take unexpected phone calls from my ads anymore. Too many times, I’ve been sucked into chatting with someone or asked explicit questions when it was off timing. So even though people may have preference to call, it doesn’t suit everyone.

I have found in my normal business life, emails may take weeks to get a response. Or never. Texts often get instant replies, or at least timely. Remember faxes? Or snail mail? Or telegrams? Communications technology has changed. No different with this hobby.

I agree, I only use electronic-mail for work and that's to leave a "paper" trail.  I get faster response with a text message, or even a mailed letter!  I'll send a text message to an escort for a response that same day.  But I'll mail a letter to my doctor's office to request an appointment, for example, if telephone wait times are too long.
