Being dishonest about an experience in a review.

Today marks the second time I got a private response back from someone giving an entirely different version of what they thought of their massage compared to the five star review. It's one thing to have slight doubt that perhaps the review may have been a bit embellished, but to tell me he wasn't at all engaged in the session, or he was a complete ripoff and would never waste time with him again, question any opinions given of any other reviews that may be out there.

This might be psychology trying it's best to keep me away so the provider has less likelihood of being too busy. In essence, reviews are optional, so why rave about someone who in reality you didn't enjoy? Frequent massage people from experience know that masseurs who practically demand you leave a review for them are the ones we're least interested in following through to do that.

I try to be honest and informational in my reviews. I have had great experiences, for the most part, and even with them, when people ask me I always specify that my experience was good, but that certain things are up to the provider to decide, including the chemistry between us (and yes, I believe that goiod chemistry between me and the provider enhances the experience). The one bad experience I had deserved the terrible review because it was a terrible experience from a guy who didn't have the right facilities, wanted "donation up front", had no materials (other than a 99 cents store lotion) and had a camera pointing at me. I think people should know about that, hence my bad review.

It's not on you if people don't get the same experience that you did, or not like it the way you did. When people reach out to me, I always emphasize that those are "I" statements, that there's no way for me to guarantee the same level of goo or bad experience.

One possibility is that they left the glowing review after their first appointment, and then subsequent appointments left the client feeling less than satisfied.  The only reason I raise this as a possibility is that I have had that happen to me but did not leave second, downgraded reviews because (in almost all cases) I couldn't really lay blame for my diminishing satisfaction solely on the providers.

This is an excellent point I didn't even consider, since for me I'm mostly a one and done with guys, liking to give ones I hadn't seen before a go.

And yes, it's plentiful with people mentioning on here subsequent visits being less enjoyable than the first. The reasons why are endless, as well.

That’s your "little head" talking. In this game, I suggest you quickly learn to ignore him.

People generally don’t like to bad mouth someone and most people want to help escorts/massage therapists that they like.

Whenever I’ve ignored negative private reviews, I’ve regretted it. YMMV.

i think 5-star reviews should always be taken with a grain of salt.  negative reviews, on the other hand, should be taken quite seriously.  i think few people will post a negative review if the bad experience wasn't there to back it up.

i have definitely had the experience of a subpar session with a provider who has numerous five-star reviews.  i think that comes with the territory when we play in this playground.  there will simply be providers that don't work for us as well as they might for others.  i have never left a less-than-5-star review for a provider, as i am not out to ruin anyone's livelihood.  if i do not enjoy the experience, i will not rate them at all.  hypothetically, the only time i might post a negative review is if i felt the whole thing was a scam of some kind, but (fortunately) i have never had that experience.

I've always been liberal in my reviews. As long as our agreement is fulfilled,  I give them 5 stars.

There's a lot of things that bother the hell out of me, but not other people. Likewise, I've seen other people criticize my regulars for things I don't mind.

Unless someone robs me, I've adopted a policy of keeping negative remarks to private messages. And generally only when I'm asked. That way, they can decide what to do with my opinion.
