Met up with friends at the Shoe last night.
The dancer line-up on Saturday night is back to being fire. Literally something for almost every taste.  Twinks, twunks, all races, straight himbo's with the backwards ball caps.

As usual the crowd is likewise friendly.  Definitely very pleased with how I spent my Saturday night there.  No double meaning, just a great evening, met some new dancers - likely going back in the near future.

Just getting back from a trip to Montreal, and our next trip is to Chicago so I’m hoping to check out Lucky Horseshoe. I understand the difference in levels of privacy for lap dances, but I’m curious about how the dances are beyond that - if anyone has thoughts to share either publicly or via DM, I would be interested in hearing more (especially with respect to what you may get to see or touch during a dance).

There is no private dance area at Lucky Horseshoe.  If you want a "private" dance, you sit in a bar stool in the open area of the bar and the dancer dances for you right there in his underwear.  The dances usually happen by the back bar where it can be less crowded; but, you might still have a patron sitting in a chair 2 feet away from you at the bar.  The dancer will generally touch your legs and torso; and, he might let you touch his legs and torso as well.  🥳

Yeah, as @Vegas_Millennial stated, there’s no true “private” dance.  It’s a 1:1 lap dance, but things can’t get too wild. Back decades ago, your mileage may vary, but now the liquor license is too valuable to allow anything go too far.

Inside the bar, your options are limited. It’s admittedly a downside of living in Chicago these days. Gogo boys are limited by the liquor laws and the days of the local police looking the other way stopped once families started moving in and against the bar’s nightlife.

And the presence of cell phone videos everywhere doesn't help.  One patron who films the fun then shares can ruin a business.

Agreed, it USED to be a hard rule that you didn’t take photos period in a strip/gogo bar for patrons and dancers privacy.  It became too hard to effectively enforce once all phones came with cameras and everyone expects that they can photo/video everywhere.

Nightlife photographers had special permission, and made sure to get consent from everyone in the photo.  Those days are gone sadly.

I miss the days of no photos. With my day job, I have to be hyper aware of my surroundings. I think that comes with the other clientele that now goes to the shoe. It used to be understood and you can get away with a little and have a relaxed time, but I’m hearing that’s no longer the case. The dancers also want the content for their socials. I’ve been a little too wary to go recently because of it.
