Elon Musk made good on his promise to ditch the bird in Twitter. Today it has been replaced by an X. Not aure what happens to the verb tweet, which has become synonymous with posting a thread.

As someone who only uses twitter to look at escorts pics and tecounting of their daily events, it won't bother me at all.  Whether this reengineering of Twitter will work or not is anyone's guess.  So far all of Musk's changes at Twttter since he took it private have been disasters.

And the wolves are circling with Threads and others eating into the twitterverse.

Yes, I guess he's positioning himself to take on Meta and Google. But didn't Meta and Zuckerburg keep the Facebook logo and identity when he converted to Meta. There is a lot of goodwill and brand recognition invested in Twitter and the tweets terminology and to suppress them seems self destructive imo.

But what do I know about socialmedia. 😆

I would have to go back to the comments in the NYT article but someone pointed out Musk directly lifted it from another source. Maybe he'll be sued for infringement of copyright.

You're right. I didn't know that song! And I consider myself an ELO fan. The song which would come to mind about a bird flying away wouldn't be blue--unless it were blue from the cold of the upcoming winter in Anne Murray's Canada. She was the first Canadian woman to get a #1 hit in the US!

Changing a well trademarked logo design to something that can't be registered as a trademark lifted from another source (possibly without any compensation to the originator) seems exactly like the genious level business marketing we've come to expect from Mr. Musk.

And the first Canadian woman to be tied up by Stewie Griffin!

It's from the Secret Messages album (or Stupid Messages, as I affectionately called it).  It was one of their later albums, after they away from being an 'orchestra' and using lush arrangements like on their earlier stuff.

Thank you, Elon...  I'm listening to the album now & enjoying it.

His endgame is to replace the banking system. A much larger play here has been in the making for over 25 years. Anyone who has followed him and has been paying attention knows these are just steps to get to the endgame, much like the paid blue check marks. Think of him what you like, but the guy is brilliant and I would place my bet on him every. single. time.
