The Rentmen Site Upgrade

I have to use messenger on rent.men since it no longer works on .eu and when I'm typing a message it'll keep going to chat offline and I gotta hit reconnect and retype my whole message.

It's also called they have fixed a lot of the bugs since launching the beta last year. That's not to say there aren't new ones, but it is actually a decent site.

One thing I've noticed over the last few weeks is that the mobile app often displays a "not found" error when using the link to a guy's profile within a message. The problem doesn't occur when using the app.rent.men website.

Every since the new 7.0 went "live,"  each  time I  change from one screen to another I have  to log in again.  This wasn't happening a few weeks ago.   Anyone else having this experience?

I just noticed on all the provider ads under available for it used to just say "escorting" but now it says "gay escorting". 😅

I guess just to be clear that dinner and drinks are unlikely to be included in the "date".

When i view profile pictures....

they are oversized.  i can't seem to resize them to fit the screen.

It looks like RM has thrown the switch on the new UI again, I can't revert back to the old version.

can someone remind me how to toggle to thumbnail/grid view when viewing the new Rentmen site? I seem to have it set to grid for the landing page and for the buddy list, but not for the results when I do a basic search...

I;ve tried the new version off and on over the past few months, but usually reverted to the olde version for serious searches.

Now, I am unable to access the old V6 RentMen today.    Like @poolboy48220said, I guess I'll get used to it.

Do we know if they'll take feedback?  Maybe if enough of us tell  them our issues they might do something.  I for one like to see the age and position in the results list.  I don't want to have to click on each one to see all of their details.  Plus, when you do click in to a profile, you can only see like 3 details at a time because the pictures are in the way.  I liked .eu and V6 a lot better.

Any well-run business would take feedback, even a virtual monopoly like RM. But IDK whether or not they are a well-run business.

I have always distrusted that option. To properly function, the provider should be signed in and with his GPS location open. There may be other ways, but they all depend on the provider reporting his exact geographic location AT EVERY MOMENT. 

How many providers are willing to do that?

Not sure if this is helpful, but there appears to be a "Near Me" option next to the "Search" option in the "Try Rentmen Beta" options bar at the top of the home page:

I finally got around to reporting it late last week and it was fixed the same day. Today I reported the issue where escorts who logged in more than a few days ago are listed as having logged in "last week." One of the guys hasn't logged in since 2020. Let's see how long it takes them to fix that.

It's been a year, and it seems like I'm still learning the new site and functions. Once I get it down and feel comfortable with it, something seems to change and I'm back to square one. For me, it's frustrating.

Looks like they are forcing the use of the new version….sigh….and it sucks. I had to find version 6 buried at the bottom of the page.  I set my favorite to version 6 so I don’t have to use that nonsense they upgraded to.  I really wish they asked the users what they want.  The new version took so many things away that made it at least usable.

I still suggest that everyone send feedback.  Flood them with it. My issue now is everyone's stats are showing in KG and CM and I can't find a way to change it back. I'm going to send a note, but if anyone knows anything, please let me know.

There is a "Report a Bug" function within the "Navigation' menu group. To get there, do the following:

• Navigate to "rent.men" and locate the hamburger menu (  ) in the upper-right corner of the page and click it
• Locate "About" (Last choice on right side of menu) and click it
• Locate "Report a bug" (Fourth item on the list) and click it
• Describe the bug.

They have addressed a couple of defects I have reported (presumably I'm not the only one) including the issue with pictures being displayed too large to be seen on-screen and profiles showing up as not found on the mobile site but displayed on the website. They do not seem to have addressed the issue of anyone who logged in more than a few days prior is displayed as logging in "a week ago." In one case, it displayed that for a provider who hasn't logged in since 2015.

Well, it's only a bug in that it changed without my knowing.  There is a place to change UNITS on the search screen.  They responded fairly quickly to my query.  However, when I sent feedback, they remained silent.  LOL

they've at least fixed it so that when you click on an escort's picture in the list, it takes you to their ad, like clicking on their name does.  Yesterday clicking on the picture was just opening the thumbnail in a new tab.

I guess they are eager to show us how to use the website but when it comes to suggestions and feedback, well...

I am not loving this newest version. Glitchy. I scroll down on my phone and it starts repeating profiles all of a sudden. I'm gonna have to stick with .eu version.

I agree as well. Even putting guys name won't recognize. I been using the old one and that one works just perfectly
