Same sex marriage passes Congress

I can't believe that no one has mentioned that the act protecting same sex marriage passed last night.

Maybe should be in the politics section, assuming that's still active right now.  (I don't frequent that area, so I don't know.)

I'm not in favor of what ultimately got passed, with explicit exemptions so religious bigots can discriminate against gay people.

Worst thing that ever happened to me was a gay marriage. Ended badly. Cost me a lot of money to get out of it and whilst in it. Just my experience. I understand the other side of the table (true love, inheritance, medical rights, etc).

What happened to you wasn't a 'gay' marriage...it was just a bad marriage.

Yes I know that. But if that S.Ct. hadn’t legalized it, I’d have been spared a lot of pain and hassle. Of course, then I’d be cursing the S.Ct. for “ruining” my life by preventing me from marrying! Ha! C’est La Vie. It’s how life goes.

Probably a lot more drama but without (most of the time) the kids.

Yes! He admitted that he knew his aunt was already a homophobe. So he wasn't at all surprised by her hateful public comments in Congress. But he was still disappointed.
