Why do handsome young men end up in Dubai?

For providers, the money is a main motivator, but for the clients, Dubai is a discreet paradise to be based out of compared to their homes in African, Middle Eastern, and Asian countries. You can conduct business and gain the status of being in Dubai, while discreetly meeting and flying out beautiful men on your downtime.

As long as you don't run a foul of the wrong people and mind your business, Dubai is an optimal choice for a home base where you can pay for top notch privacy. The access to business (and attractive men) in major markets via direct flights from Emirates probably helps too.

Not at all. You’d be completely safe PROVIDED you do nothing that could be deemed gay.

I’m thinking of the European guy who, walking through a busy bar, brushed against the butt of another man. Displeasure was voiced, police summoned and the European was arrested and jailed. Heterosexual couples kissing on the beach have at times also been arrested.

Yes, mostly.

Most people who bash Dubai have never actually been, much less been multiple times and understand how their culture and custom work.

It's not like Russia in the least.

Strange that whoever paid for his trip put him on Qatar Airways instead of Emirates. Probably using miles, or wanted miles on OneWorld.

QR, if equipped with the suites, is a better J product than what EK offers. It's newer and the seat is a LOT more comfortable.

Emirates is letting a lot of their equipment age and the only real star left in their crown is if you're flying in F on the A380.

Not sure why anyone would give their money to a country that openly oppresses them though. I feel bad enough that I still drive a car that runs on the shit they drill up.

Trust me when I say you're currently spending a ton of money with organizations and corps that do equally as horrible things to this world.

People can rarely talk the talk AND walk the walk.

That said, it's your prerogative and I don't fault anyone for their travel preferences.

You do what makes you comfortable, but don't fault others for their want to explore.

I'm not sure if I'll ever fly either of those airlines, since I'm not too interested in visiting the Persian Gulf, and my partner definitely does not want to go there (he even nixed a luxury cruise starting in the UAE), but this "professional" business and first class reviewer has another take on Emirates and Qatar. He only gives one business class perfect scores: Emirates. He also gives Korean Airlines First and Air France's La Premiere perfect scores. Also a near-perfect score for American Airlines' Transcon First Class (3-class aircraft). I got upgraded the last time, and was quite impressed myself. But then again, it's very rare for me to travel in 1st Class on a 3-class aircraft.

May not be a good time to visit Ukraine, South Sudan, or move to Russia if one is queer.

I did explore St. Petersburg, Russia in 2005 (no first class flights, or tours of any kind).

Respectfully, you are not answering your original question.  You and "your partner" may not be interested in visiting the Persian  gulf, but I am.

I think it's the over the top opulence, whether they are going there on a "working" trip or not. I suspect also that a lot of the older men there are of a level of wealth that they can throw money or comps at a hundred guys in the hopes that one randomly puts out. I imagine there are probably a lot of clueless boys there who don't realize they're being stochasticly solicited.

It's the old guy buying drinks for every pretty young thing in the bar at much larger scale.

Stochastic. What a nice way of saying YMMV!

Even if he's incredibly wealthy (and am sure those hiring these men are), I can't imagine anyone paying for someone to fly to Dubai business class on Qatar Airways or Emirates (or Etihad) without some sort of expectations spelled out. It could be done through intermediaries, of course. Of all the current and former escorts on this forum, have any of you flown across a continent or ocean without knowing what the person flying you over wants?

I'm saying a lot of these guys are novice models who don't realize that male modeling gigs don't pay that much and aren't actually aware exactly what's going on. Sone rich dude flies a bunch out there, someone figures out which of them might be receptive and makes them an offer to "earn extra" with the also-rans nine the wiser. Also I would bet none of them are actually flying first unless they racked up credit card points...they just took a selfie in the seat before heading back to steerage.

I guess that's what I was asking in my original post. Are they going to legitimate modeling gigs, or is someone just hiring them as escorts? From what I'm hearing in this string, it sounds as if there are some rich sheiks not just from the UAE, but also from Saudi Arabia (and maybe Oman?) who are hiring them as escorts. I've seen videos made by male models, as well as TV shows about them, and these men are not flown around in business class on Emirates or Qatar Airways. And I can't imagine the crew would allow to take selfies in business seats if they didn't have tickets for that seat. Also, I showed further up in this string some photos of these gorgeous men flaunting their business class tickets on Instagram or Facebook.

No dount some are straigjt up escorts. Just saying not all of them are. But also some people are ninjas at working credit card rewards like The Points Guy. One friend of mine has 22 credit cards that he cycles through and tracks and he pretty much never pays for regular accommodations and travel and if he does pay usually gets upgraded.

Oh, that's interesting. I'd never thought of that. There are probably tons of rich Saudi princes. So this Saudi really expects you to buy your own plane ticket?? That's pretty nutty. 🤪 I'd cross him off.

IG is all fantasy and fluff- it doesn't ever go anywhere.  Of course there's no offer of a plane ticket, because guys just flirt and say things that are meaningless 90% of the time.  It's kind of like downing a sugary energy drink.

I will say though that a disproportionate number of my IG followers are from Saudi Arabia, Iran or Kuwait - I don't know why.  I certainly enjoy the attention from all these handsome hairy middle-eastern men.

Maybe it’s the thrill of breaking the law. Like we used to do here in the States  back in the (19)90s. So much fun back then. It’s so Disney know.

Interesting theory. Kind of like guys who like sex in public restrooms. They get a kick out of the danger of getting caught.

  • 2 months later...

Not only is Dubai overflowing with money, it is overflowing with horny young single men in the country alone...with limited ability to hook up with woman... 89% of the total UAE population are expats. 69% of the UAE population are male. Plus Dubai is chock-a-block with airline stewards...the airport is the world's busiest in international traffic volume. And both a cause and effect, guys are flying in from all over the mideast and Europe to party in this relatively open (for that part of the world) society. Escort heaven. I know. I have been there and had a great time. You just have to have a VPN to find the action and be discrete in public. Oh and did I mention, a lot of Emirati men are gorgeous.
