Favorite snack?

It's a toss-up: Ruffles potato chips or homemade caramel popcorn. So bad for you but so delicious, like many things in life.

Something else I really like is cornick corn nuts.   I started a subcription to Snack Crate during covid since I couldn't travel (great way to sample snacks from around the world) and one month the box was the Phillipines and I loved the Cornick and found variety packs on Amazon.

I love all kinds of junk food (especially sweets) but to control what I eat I don't bring them in the apartment, if I can help it.  I keep three jars on the counter...one with unsalted roasted almonds, one with raw walnuts, and one with plain popcorn for popping when we watch movies.  One of my favorite things is to make a protein shake with a dish of almonds and walnuts on the side.

A couple of faves:

• Olives - any variety.
• Mini cucumbers and truffle-infused sea salt.
• Carrot sticks and hummus

Quality cheeses and crackers and maybe some nice olives too if I'm drinking alcohol.

I don't always have it on hand because Trader Joe's is kinda far from me, but I like their paté as a snack.  It's surprisingly inexpensive given how pricey paté is everywhere else.
