No Good Deed was 🔥🔥🔥. I saw it at the weekend, on a large screen with very good sound, amid a well-behaved audience of fans. I enjoyed it greatly. It was tremendous fun. I particularly admired how they incorporated aspects of the original classic film; the filming of those scenes was inspired. I was also surprised that the acting of Cynthia Erivo was so good. My only small quibble is that we didn’t see enough of Jonathan Bailey’s physique in the love scenes. ShortCutie7 1

Becket Posted Tuesday at 02:45 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:45 AM Noticed they are showing "The Wizard of Oz" in Vegas at the Spere, that new venue that everyone raves about. The article I read said they are selling lots of tickets to daily showings. Interesting.

He liked the physical Sphere itself but wasn't that impressed by the movie treatment. He thought it was overhyped. I wonder if I would agree with him as I've always loved the movie, and this looks pretty neat from the Mankiewicz featurette. I can remember waiting impatiently for it every year. One year I remember it being hosted by Mr. French, Buffy, and Jody from Family Affair (unless that was Peter Pan-another movie along with Cinderella I looked forward to yearly). I also used to love the yearly showing of Oklahoma. Back in 1977 I spent 4 weeks at a summer camp outside of Warwick, NY. They took us to NYC to sightsee for one day. While there, I think at Rockefeller Center, we saw a movie called "The New York Experience." They did a multimedia presentation-I can remember wind blowing at us during the presentation-an early day example of what The Sphere is doing with the Wizard Of Oz. I'm wondering if they might attempt "Gone With The Wind?" I'm thinking that would look pretty neat in 16k. Edited 16 hours ago by Gar1eth

They cut Wizard of Oz down to 75 minutes for the sphere so just due to the length of Gone With The Wind I don't see how they'd do it. I think The Sound of Music would be a good choice. Imagine the hills are alive scene on that screen although again it has too long of a running time.
