I'm always at a loss why someone choosing to advertise a high donation amount matters to anyone, and why it often creates such a flurry of commentary - predominiantly negative and judgemental.

Yeah....on a forum dedicated to discussing escorts. Imagine that!!  😄

Whatever his main source of income is, this ain’t it.

Fees that high aren’t for perceived quality. It’s to discourage 99% from actual contact re hiring and to encourage more to subscribe to OF instead… just out of curiosity

This is what I was thinking. What has been said before is also a good point, though. His rate is his rate, and his business. How he treats his clients, his reliability, attitude, etc, are certainly noteworthy and of interest, but only to clients who are actually willing/able to meet his rate in the first place.

I'm always at a loss why someone choosing to advertise a high donation amount matters to anyone, and why it often creates such a flurry of commentary - predominiantly negative and judgemental.  It's the provider's personal business, and if it seems out of line, a person does not need to contact them.  Easy peasy.

I'm still trying to find the negative and judgmental comments.  We're in the Deli section of this forum which is to discuss providers.  This provider voluntarily placed an ad.  Other than the OP who provided his donation requirement, I don't see where anyone else contacted him.  I've read countless threads on this forum discussing the issues hiring a straight-identifying provider, one who doesn't have any info about himself, or lists his "Into" activities.  Further, another poster read the commentary to his reviews and one client wrote:

I'm all for being respectful, but if you voluntarily place an ad to attract clients which sends up red flags, have a price-point that says you're not serious about seeing clients, and have an actual client review accusing him of being a "hustler type of guy," be prepared for commentary.

With this kind of monthly earnings according to Fansmetrics, I doubt that he would even take clients willing to pay $1,500 if he doesn't like them. That explains only 4 reviews in almost 3 years. This is why I completely ignore OF guys when I see their RM ads. Stick to Twitter to promote your OF and don't come to RM to waste our time.

I only noted that posts like that one often create a flurry of negative comments.  There are many examples in the Deli of people posting about providers who they think are seeking an exorbitant amount for a donation.  This usually brings responses by some members who focus on justifying why the donation amount is excessive by making very negative comments about the provider, whether about their appearance, mannerism, reputation, or some other aspect of their being.  If they have met the provider and had a negative experience, then certainly say so.  But if a person is making negative comments about someone simply because they do not agree with the suggested donation amount, I think it is better not to weigh in.  There is already a lot of negativity and division in this world.  Is it unreasonable to suggest that if a person believes a donation request is too high, that they move on to considering providers whose donation amount aligns with what they might consider acceptable?  Is it necessary to tear a person apart - which has been done in other posts?  Providers are people too and should be able to seek whatever donation amount they wish to set without being critiqued by people who may have never met them.    Okay, I'm ready to see all the 'verbose' emojis now - lol.

He probably doesn't need the money.  Or he doesn't want to escort really.  But if someone waves $1,500 at him, he will do it.  Why not?  Not a bad strategy.

We Americans are all whores.

It is simply a matter of price.
Desperate to part with $1500?
I will clean your kitchen.

You’re right.  He can charge whatever he wants.  No one is saying he can’t.  More power to him if he gets it.  However, the purpose of this section of the forum is to discuss providers.  You don’t need to meet a provider to have issues with his ad or donation amount.  If you consider potential clients commenting that $1,500 for an hour being exorbitant is “tearing a person apart,” then we’ll just agree to disagree.  Do you think it’s unreasonable or harsh to comment on an ad that has no information about the provider and doesn’t list any activities in his “into” section?
I re-read this entire thread.  I didn’t find one comment insulting his appearance or mannerisms.  The one comment about his reputation was extracted from an actual client review.

I think you may have misread what I wrote, or perhaps I wasn't clear enough.  I wrote "Is it necessary to tear a person apart - which has been done in other posts?"   I was not suggesting that people had already torn someone apart in this particular post - just that in many, many posts of a similar type, some people have taken the opportunity to (in my opinion) unfairly criticize someone in very mean and unnecessary ways - just based on what the suggested donation is.  I don't want to belabour anything, but I was just trying to suggest that this string does not need to go down that route.  That's all.

Well THAT explains it very well.  $1,500 is not going to make any difference to this guy.  $1,500/hour is a total waste of his time.
