Tried to hire “The Only_One” a few hours ago and this guy is obviously a psycho — so beware! After briefly texting about a date, hosting, etc he asked for a photo (which I object to in principle) and I declined, saying, Sorry, no. He wanted to know why and I said I’m hiring you, not dating you. And he let loose with a series of nasty remarks including “Suck my dick!” and “Fucking weirdo!” So I responded “FU” and promptly blocked him. A few mintes later he texted me saying Oh man you just made this worse and showed me he had my full name and home address. Then he proceeded to call me about 10 times, one call after another, some were FaceTime calls. Finally, a number that I don’t recognize texted me a photo of myself that I guess he found online. Psycho, right?!! So God knows what’s gonna happen now but I just wanted to give you guys a heads up about The Only_One. AVOID!!

Correct diagnosis and you just have to ride this out and ignore him. Obviously, this had more to do with him and his experience than your quite rational response.

Since Google Voice numbers aren't listed in phone books or connected to physical addresses, they're difficult to trace. When you call contacts from your Google Voice number, it shows up on their caller ID, but standard phone traces don't reveal your identity. If law enforcement agencies become involved, Google provides them with your account information, including the IP address from which you created the account and placed calls.

So in other words, if I am calling someone from a Google voice number & they are also using a Google voice number my name I comes up on their phone?  🤔🤔

That is why you need to choose the name you associate with your google account carefully.  Dick Beefmaster here - I am very pleased to meat you! 🤣

To communicate with anyone outside of family and very close friends, I use an app called “TextFree”. It’s totally free and gives me an anonymous phone number number that I can text from, receive and give calls from too.

Always remember that your main cell phone-land line numbers that you have accounts with from those major providers, are the numbers you use on your bills, in stores, and even on business-related applications. Adding the fact that phone companies sell your data, you’d be amazed (and disturbed) at what would pop up if you simply googled your own phone number. There’s a way to remove certain things about your from Google searches (actually though Google), but it’s tedious and requires lots of follow up. I only know because I did this for myself, after googling my personal cell phone number.

I think I read somewhere (maybe here) Google voice numbers are traceable. Is that true?

They’re absolutely traceable (but not to a regular Joe Schmo you’re generally communicating with)

You literally have to sign in to your Google account (the account that actually identifies you, and connect you with your IP address), to create a Google voice account.

it’s basically like the modern advanced version of *67. It provides a layer of anonymity to the person you’re communicating with, but everything behind the scenes connects it directly to you.

I use Textnow which is linked only to a gmail account.  The gmail account isn't linked to me in any way.  Even LE would have to do IP tracing to get to the source.

Dime a dozen esp in the city of brotherly love. Next !

Really? I find that Philadelphia is not a great place to find hot, sane escorts. The ones that live there are, in my opinion, ten levels below those that live in or visit NY, and one is lucky if a hot escort even visits Philly. Can you name a few of the dime a dozen you mention? I’m all ears. Thanks!
