After the past two or three months of sky-high rates and incredible demand a couple friends tell me the market has gone down considerably the past week or so in Chicago, New York and DC. Maybe it's just the end of the month and maybe it's just them, but it would make sense the client stampede after re-opening would cool, especially after they spent all the money they saved up during the lockdown.

Kind of the opposite happening by me. I've noticed an uptick of guys visiting Buffalo with reasonable rates. I don't know if it helps to be in an area with comparatively lower COVID infections than most of the country. I have been waiting for them to open the border for Canadians so I can hire some Toronto guys. I'm sure a lot of them will wanna come down to get some fresh clientele.

they don't all winter in Florida like the Montreal guys? escaping Toronto to Buffalo in winter seems weird.

It's not winter here yet!! ⛄

But yeah usually we don't get a lot of visitors in the winter much outside of thanksgiving or christmas when guys are in town for family.

Meet new guys and finally see some of our regulars again, yeah.  In particular, I have an awesome guy in Rochester who texts me once every couple weeks to see if I'm coming down.  Not yet, buddy, the border isn't open for us to come to you guys yet (fully vaccinated Americans can come to Canada, though...weirdly, it wasn't reciprocal).  But given that COVID case counts are much higher in the States, a lot of Canadians--escort or otherwise--don't wanna go to the U.S. yet anyway.

You can get down on a plane, but for me, a 2 to 3 hour session isn't worth it to fly down.  Rochester bud doesn't pay my travel, I simply see him when I happen to be in Niagara Falls or Buffalo on my own time or if I happen to be down for the week or weekend for another guy.

Hah, that trend may lessen for a few years.  At the outset of the pandemic, a lotta Québecois snowbirds (French-Canadians) brought COVID back with them from Florida.  With Florida doing pretty badly right now, it's not the most desirable vacation spot, according to a lot of fellow Canadians.

It's ok. I just hate people saying it snows here year round. Denver had more snow than us last year and I don't ever hear anyone making fun of them.

Oh yeah, Denver had a shitload of snow last winter. A really long snow season too...literally from Labor Day through mid-May. Please tell all your friends that we're cursed by a snow witch a la Arendelle. Two pretty big blizzards too...one was nearly 30 inches.

I have noticed a slight softening in the number of escorts in Denver. I think it's a few things:

1) I know that some escorts are actually college students doing this to make extra money. One of the guys I hired for my birthday specifically said he'd take his ad down once school started (but that he'd be happy to meet up with me). It's just too much work to keep up with classes and the dozens of phone calls and e-mails you get from time-wasting potential clients.

2) A lot of people take vacations this time of year so they are either showing their ads in another city or are off-the-grid and enjoying their time off. The summer generally I notice has more escorts than many other times of years because people are travelling all over. Could simply be that your city is not one of those destinations for the time being. 

3) Some are worried about Delta and issues related to that. Even if you're vaccinated, you might be able to spread it to others. If you have a immunocompromised family member that could be a big deal. Some might also be seeing the travel restrictions happening and have decided to get out of the US while they still can.

Actually the snow was really great for us. It completely got rid of the drought that we were in. Unfortunately, the snow this winter was primarily along the Front Range (the easternmost of the Rocky Mountains closest to Denver, CO Springs, Ft. Collins, etc.) so actually the snow in many of the ski resorts was not that great. And the Colorado River basin which gets a lot of its water from that mountain snow ended up still being in historic drought.

my friends who said this are escorts commenting on how hirings have dropped drastically this week in DC, Chicago and NYC. i told them it was probably random or end-of-month. but it could be the end of the re-opening pent-up demand.

If one is a news junky, evidence in favor of reducing close contact is piling up. It reminds me of the mid 80’s: You’re not just fucking that one guy, you’re fucking all the people he fucked, and all who fucked them…

I was thinking about setting up something this fall - that dream now postponed til after the New Year unless all anti-vaxxers get whisked up in what they think is The Rapture… (Never forget that a small group of deliberately stupid people were able to passively cripple a country.)
