I notice in gay spaces its not something that is welcomed as its assumed you should be pro affirming etc. However when watching porn i get no response at all like i could watch two gay men do everything under the sun and i find myself looking at whats on the coffee table or what the background scenery is. But if say i watch a documentary on marines or firefighters i feel raging passion even if they are mostly clothed. Is that any different than when a gay man says i dont like "blacks" or "fat ppl" etc. Im always confused for example when someone likes women and they like a butch female with a crew cut type. If you like women the epitome should be Britney Spears circa 2002-2006 or Carmen Electra late 90s to 2000x etc.

If you like masculinity that square jawed stoic dont take shit type is what i consider the epitome.  Alot of gay porn revolves around this image and fantasy but when gay ppl in real life actually are exclusively into this scene they are almost shamed. Is there anyone on here that lives this lifestyle or understands it? Are you actively opposed to it and if so why? Hope to hear some honest feedback.

Interesting opening to an interesting topic.

Just recently, I have had an attraction to hetero- or bi - sexual guys. I am doing a deep dig trying to figure out if it might be the remnants of some internalized self-hate, but as much as I try to self-analyze, I am not sure. I came out as queer when I came out as a sexual being, so gayness has always been my normal.

But, something does occur to me... I don't believe I have ever been demeaned by a straight man (to my face that is), I have never been in a toxic relationship with a straight man, and, particularly as I am coming out of a horrible situation with a "sugar baby" I have been seeking a place of refuge far away from that kind of drama.

So, honestly, I don't understand this dynamic at all, But I do now understand that it is more complicated than I had one thought.

You're really limit yourself if you don't widen your perspective. You're only interested in men who don't want to have sex with other men, and, presumably, you (unless you're a woman)? That doesn't seem like a recipe for romantic success. Yes, you can pay a straight man enough money to have sex with you. But then you can only be with someone who isn't into you, and it'll cost ya.

Isn't this site partly about being with someone who may not be into "you?"

Well, first of all, one would hope one's entire romantic life wouldn't simply be escort hires. Secondly, a good escort hopefully has some attraction to the client. I've had more than one escort say "I would try to find at least one thing sexy about him." A straight man, really can't do anything to become attracted to another man (assuming he's really straight).

Your first point is irrelevant. I wrote about this site, not life in general.

Why do you believe a straight escort can't do anything to be attracted to another man?  I hired a straight escort years ago, and he had no trouble performing.

Are you a bit sheltered @Unicorn?

The key word: Performing

As to your first point, I don't think it's a big deal if for the next few years a person's sex life (because there's no romance) is exclusively gay4pay encounters. Much beyond the short term, however, I think a person would need more of a connection.  That said, I don't know @studchaser. Maybe he doesn't need or even particularly want romance.

Regarding your second point, I'm sure there are plenty of times a gay escort has zero physical attraction for a male client but, as you said, finds something attractive about that client:  nice guy, great sense of humor, intelligence.  Why can't that be true of a straight escort with a male client?  I've known plenty of young straight guys with such a strong sex drive they could get off with a coffee table as a sexual partner.  If instead of a coffee table, his sexual partner is a well-to-do gay man with a sharp wit, even better.

A while back, I had a chat with a stripper who for whatever reason really opened up to me.  Even though he was straight, he was in a long-term, committed relationship with an older gay man.  It turns out that this guy had a pretty tough time of it growing up, much of his childhood in foster care.  He said that his partner was the first person who truly cared about him.  They lived in a town in Massachusetts where even the cheapest house costs a pretty penny, so the stripper was well taken care of financially.  From his tone and the way he talked about his partner, he was emotionally well cared for also.  Like the great sage Joaquin Andujar used to say, "You can sum up baseball in one word: ya never know."

I remember Herzog pitching Andujar in the 1985 World Series against the Royals. Yikes

Yup, good escorts HAVE some attraction to their clients !   (let's NOT pretend otherwise, its business, and I don't Fault them. )

I assume that some of the firefighters or marines in the documentaries you find arousing are gay but I gather you assume they must all be straight given this thread's title, so maybe there is something psychological worth looking at.

As for being bored by porn, not everyone finds it arousing.  As far as I know, there is a fair amount of "gay for pay" types in gay porn so I don't think you can equate men having sex with men in front of the camera as not being attracted by gay men; rather it's not enjoying watching men have sex with each other.  Is that because of internalized homophobia or are you just bored by porn?  That's for you to look inside and figure out.

Same here.  I realize that (other than this site or other "gay" sites), hot guys I see are probably straight, but I still appreciate the male physique.  There's some really hot guys/cocks on reddit (r/cocks) and a lot are straight, but yum!

LOL!

Although maybe there's some allure to "things you can't have"?

Not passing judgement here.  I just like guys.

Thanks for the most thoughtful response to my posting. I suppose you're right--maybe I'm the one who's been limiting myself too much. When I was hiring escorts, I would pass by any ad from one who said he was straight, as I assumed he couldn't get into it. Once I hired an escort who described himself as bi, but I had some time to talk with him afterwards, as he asked me to drive him somewhere, said he was mostly straight. He told me that when he goes to straight places, women don't care about his good looks. They just want to know what he does for a living, how much he makes, etc. When he goes to gay places, however, men are all over him and couldn't care less what he does or how much he makes. It made me think of an aphorism (I made up): good looks are wasted on male heterosexuals...

I feel sorry for the former foster child. It's hard to imagine he's sexually fulfilled. But I guess there are ways to make it work. That being said, I do think it would serve the OP well to broaden his perspective as well.

There are selfish self-absorbed straight guys on RM but those are easy to spot on the go through texting and reviews. Most of my best sexual experiences in the hobby have been with well reputed straight providers. I think they are aware that they will be compared against gay and bi escorts so they do their best.

The materialistic nature of women you just described is the reason why some straight men grow tired of not being appreciated (sometimes at home) and don't mind receiving a bj from a gay guy just to get rid of the urge and to experience again what it feels like being desired, or just for the sake of trying something new - if they don't like it they won't do it again. FREE and much more convenient than risking hiring a female escort and being discovered by his partner.

When one is paying, how does one conclude someone is "into the client?"

I think this could be a good episode on Dr. Phil.

Really, now. There have been some straight men I've hired, and they're certainly at the minimum unenthusiastic or unwilling to kiss. That's a big thing for me, and is probably why I've been avoiding men who identify as straight. In some cases, I've even had some straight men they need to watch straight porn while we're getting into it, for them to get erect. It's happened enough times that I've avoided escorts who've identified as straight. You don't think there's a difference?

Actually the question was about a previous Beau of yours.

It got to the point, at least with me, that I would avoid guys on RM who identified as tops or even vers tops (whatever that means) as this was code for unwilling to kiss, suck or do any other things I like to do.

Selfish, materialistic women! I’m so glad I’m gay. We only care about the important things in life. Like - How big is your dick?!?!
