Thinking out loud

Its seems on all sorts of scripted shows, especially soap operas, characters are caught thinking out loud.  I know this is a plot device to advance story lines.   I am curious if you think out loud and have those thoughts undermined your sinister plans for revenge?   I do occasionally think out loud, usually to urge myself into action when thinking in my head just is not enough.   

Now where did I put my keys?

Time and place for everything.  I'll sometimes run through my shopping list before heading to the store, it helps me recall what I need without having to have it written down.  Running through my shopping list while I'm in bed with a hot guy would be...odd.

ETA:  I always keep my sinister plans for revenge in an encrypted file on a secure server.  I never speak them aloud since google is always listening.

While I never talk out loud to myself, I do tend to make the same nonverbal movements as when I normally talk.

Yes I do think out loud, but it's mostly "you fucking idiot" (referring to myself)! No undermining of sinister plans - everyone knows it. haha

I think out loud all the time. That's why the mute button is so handy while on work calls.

It is rare that I will utter complete thoughts aloud, but invariably if/when I burp or sneeze, I will render an audible hearty "excuse me" to an otherwise empty room.  🙄
