lately I’ve not come across it much because I have started to be open to friendships with clients more so than the routine scene queens.

Ugh... scene queens... that vapid species of “gay”, that will suck the soul out of you, like barnacles suck the enamel off of boats....

I ditched any associate I deemed a “scene queen” close to 10 years ago...

ran into one before the pandemic. He was shocked at how I looked exactly the same as I did 10 years ago... When he asked me my “anti-aging”, secret, I told him this:

“Eliminating toxic people from my life”.

As he just asked mwhy I disappeared, he realized that my quoted response answered both of his questions.

And he’s now an old scene queen.... lol

yeah I think the most judgmental ness comes from the attractive business age/career types in early-mid 30s (like me) It’s almost like guys of this age seem like, once you get to a certain age/point, you’re supposed to have your shit together and “be career minded”, not out “turning tricks”.

lately I’ve not come across it much because I have started to be open to friendships with clients more so than the routine scene queens. But, I know the best way to avoid the conversation is to always pretend everything is perfect, thus avoiding any, “maybe it’s time to...”

I get your point but "turning out tricks" while saving/investing the profits, traveling, choosing your schedule, avoiding a 9-5 or low income job, etc. is a way to have your "shit together". Escorting could be a career for some if they're good at it and like it.

Unfortunately most escorts (not you) don't think about the future and retire with little or no savings.

But at the end of the day, I think it also goes to show that there’s people who judge us (escorts) and them (clients) for the same reasons. Why judge each other.

@Daverwr in most cases folks who judge clients can't afford hiring, and younger men who judge escorts wouldn't find someone to hire them...

Talk about not judging

When I first got into the business, I had a bunch of acquaintances judge me when they found out. I dropped those people, and ended up making friends among other providers. I eventually found other people (mostly younger than me) in my third place that I befriended. To the last man, not a single one of them bats an eyelash at my side hustle.

I think it's a generational thing.

I did once have a single member of the new friend group bring me aside and explain to me that he saw me as more than just a sex worker. I appreciated where his heart was at, but I can't imagine him having the same conversation with an accountant, or a bartender, etc. ?‍♂️

The last dude I told that I see him for more than his “soul killing” profession, was a public defender... lol

You’d be surprised. Some of the more judgmental guys I’ve met, were rather attractive types.

Being attractive is quite relative...

What usually puts successful escorts above “attractive” guys who don’t escort, is that they “complete the circle.” And which is also why there are many attractive eligible men who’d rather entertain escorts than bother with the general dating/mating scene....

Here’s the thing about general “attractive”’guys:

1.) The sex can be bad: Yes, there are great looking guys who are terrible in the bedroom. The possibility of guaranteed good sex with an attractive escort is significantly higher.

2.) The grooming is off: I’ve seen so many “attractive”, guys, who have bad breath, have dirty fingernails, feet reek or corn chips, and hair hasn’t been washed in forever. Wax in the ears and lent in the navel (And possibly on his nuts too). However, a man, whose body is his business, is typically impeccably groomed and hygiene is spotless.

3.) Personality is terrible: There are a lot of great looking guys, who have the brain of a Brazil nut. Now look at the threads discussing escorts on this site, where guys will discuss how great the guy is “to talk too”. Then look at the escorts who comment on the threads. 90% of their posts are forthcoming contributions that are engaging and at least provoked some thought.

With all of that said, an “attractive”guy, who is judging you on your personal business decisions, really isn’t “all that”, and his insecure ass knows it, which is why he’s judging you....

Because no one would pay for his “attractive”, ass in the first place.

I've seen VERY attractive guys popping up on RM throughout the year to then see them disappear, probably because they can't cope with it.

Being good-looking is no guarantee to be able to get/keep it hard, being a good f*ck, or a pleasant after-sex experience with most clients.

It's a job not many are cut for, especially if they think they will be paid for hooking up ONLY with other "good-looking" guys like themselves.

Not exactly on topic, but I recall the business where Kurt Wild got fired from Subway after being recognized by a very judgy customer. Of course, nevermind HOW the guy recognized him.

Of course, Kurt turned out to be a child-raping scumbag, but the point is still valid. Customer-guy clearly needed to go back into therapy and pray the gay away harder.

Good analysis. BUT...Before we make that conclusion, read the thread I made earlier: Most of those attractive guys popping up, may simply be a mirage...

I'm not a provider, but for the "moralists:"

Matt. 7. [1] Judge not, that ye be not judged. [2] For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Oh my, you quoted scripture. The easy answer to that is “I don’t sell myself to other men, so I can judge to my heart’s content”.

I don't see how selling yourself to other men would keep you from being judgemental, but I presume you know your own limitations.
