Escorts with Agents

Perhaps it’s just me, but I don’t like finding out that I deal with an agent when trying to interact with an escort. If somehow I find that out, I am likely to lose interest altogether in booking. Particularly if we’re talking about bookings that are expensive. If you can afford a booking agent, you’re charging too much. And if you don’t pay your agent but think you’re that busy that you need a one, then you have an inflated sense of yourself and I don’t need to spend time with that kind of personality – or encourage it with my financial support.

 

Apologies if this topic has already been discussed in depth elsewhere. I didn’t find it when I did a search, but perhaps I didn’t search for the right term.

I’ve only encountered it twice over the years and in one case we bypassed the agent and met numerous times. My only exception was the old Premiere in Philadelphia, but they did a great job.

It’s hard to bypass an agent when you don’t know. I’ve had it happen to me three times, and the last time was yesterday. With a guy I had thought I was arranging time with in Philadelphia, incidentally. Time before that the interaction was pretty good til it went to money/time talk and the “escort” got frustrated. Time before that was long ago, and the fee was way out of my league. I came later to learn he used an agent.

 

It’d be interesting to know if the guys who are more interested in booking and getting a deposit right away before you can determine if you’re a good match are actually agents. I get that compatibility is not a big an issue for an hour of fucking, but if I’m doing an overnight or weekend with a guy, I want good-to-great compatibility.

I agree, I hate agents. They often do not communicate to the escort. Escort gets there and suddenly he has no idea what i want.. so i have to tell him and then its suddenly oh i dont do xxx or yyy.. or this one time the fee was more then what was discussed.. i showed the texts and he got very angry.. then told me it was an agent.. but honored the agents fee agreement. He told me the agent was getting as much work for him as he could (because the agent got a %) and that often meant the agent really undercut the prices.. agent only cared about the agents %..

I found that dealing with an agency was very different from dealing with an escorts personal agent. There was an agency in New York, I can't remember the name, that I used once or twice. The escorts were frequently aspiring Broadway actors or dancers who didn't have the time or the desire to arrange their own escorting schedules. Some of the escorts who used that agency were incredibly attractive and engaging. Premiere in Philadelphia, as Pensant, mentioned did a great job. Then their was Man for Man, I believe that was the name, out here in the L.A. area that also did a great job. Over the years I have only found myself dealing with an escorts personal agent once or twice. I always found the situation awkward and disengaged ASAP.

He said he couldn't keep up with the amount of requests. The agent he uses also manages a few other escorts in his area.. but he did indicate that he might be handling it himself in the future due to those types of errors.. didn't make financial sense to give someone a % of your work, when after the % was taken out didn't leave much, especially after expenses.. i did give the escort a rather nice tip.

I just have a hard time believing that the demand for escorting is *that* high. In my work, I deal with emails all day, even off hours. I deal with text messages all day, even off hours. I deal with telephone calls all day, even off hours. I have to do clerical work and do a lot of traveling as well. I manage to do all my own work without outsourcing it. AND I’m not making nearly as much as an escort is per hour, tax free. I don’t understand this notion that requests are so high...

When I started engaging we didn’t have the Internet so agencies were the only way to go. You didn’t know exactly what you were getting until you answered the door. In most cases they got it right. Just two were not what I was looking for. One I didn’t accept.

 

I would have no problem with an agency now that the agency could send you pics. Quite frankly, I really don’t think it’s my business. If that is the way my desired gentleman wants to manage his business, so be it. Now, I would not pay an additional fee for the privilege.

There was also A-list i think in NYC. But Maximum was great. Also, one for twinkish guys, i can’t recall... think it was called Campus Escorts or something.

@tassojunior a frequent poster says most foreign escorts have someone representing them over the phone. Considering now with texting it takes 30 mins or more to make plans compared to a 2 mins conversation it makes sense some successful escorts just don't have time to deal with it.

The "middle man" was necessary back then because of privacy and safety, later on it became dispensable. Here we had DC boys but unfortunately they blew it with their terrible management and lack of effort. Later on I saw one of them working for an agency in NYC, he used to own one in DC 2002-05...

 

Texing (as posted above) might make him useful again.

I’ve never booked through an agency but (a few times) did find out later I’d been texting a personal agent to set up the meeting. In one case, I was quoted $1,600/hr for the provider’s time. In another case, when the provider arrived he was an ala carte guy.

 

I can understand why some escorts would outsource scheduling and travel arrangements, however my best experiences have been with guys who communicate directly.

From my understanding in dealing with escorts with agents, the escort always told me they had a handler because it was easier for them for various reasons. They didn't seem to care to they had to give away a certain amount to the handler as long as they didn't have to deal with answering every call. Trust me some of the requests and messages escorts get are insane. I do understand having a go-between to weed that out.

 

Save for one guy, every escort I've dealt with who I found out or knew had a handler, I just asked them if they had a number I could contact them directly.

I was a huge loss when Premier, an escort agency, closed in Philadelphia. They had many "special guests' from all over the United States, including Kristian from Texas and later California.

I disagree. It’s part of the business. The notion that escorts time is that valuable...? How many other professions make $300/hr untaxed? To say nothing of the $1600/hr cited above. In another forum on here some folks rail against corporate pigs getting paid way more than they should ethically. Why do we seem to think this is any different? I know that’s a bit tangential to my original post, but I’m sure it’s underlying part of my feelings here. If you can afford to to pay a handler, you’re charging too much. I also don’t need another person aware of my dealings in this hobby. Who’s running the Venmo app we send money to for deposits? Just for example. We make a tacit agreement with the escort to do business with them...No need for a middleman. And then add to it that we don’t always know if there’s a middleman. And of course some middle men act as if they are the escort. There’s already a host of issues here that require a good deal of trust (on the part of all parties) to add dubious communication “with an escort” when it’s in fact not the escort just feels icky. The case of the agencies is different, to a degree, because everybody understands from the outset that there is some sort of middleman.

I don't know if it's worth having a handler or not... but if some escorts do it I guess it's because it makes sense to them.

 

Besides, don't we all complain enough about guys your age having their faces buried on their iPhones already? If an escort has a handler at least he won't spend hours every day answering texts.

I can only say nice things about Dave from Man4Man escorts. The first hire was a guy from California visiting NY (forgot his name - no longer in business). He was a real estate broker and didn't want his face out there on an escort site. His body was not the hottest, but he had such enthusiasm. I ended up hiring him 2x in 3 days. The other hire was 'Zach' from NY. Zach worked with Man4Man but also had his direct ad on RB. Hired Zach 2 times, the 3rd appointment attempt was a disaster. I feel bad for Dave, having to deal both with erratic escorts and erratic clients. Tough job!
