Paragonya Wellness Club (Zürich) will re-open June 6th. The country has only gone as far as to commit to most EU visitors as of July 9th (with some, like Italy, up in the air), and depending on infection rates going forward, so permission to Americans and Canadians, etc, could be a ways off.

Since "typically" a sex work session is 1-on-1 (less than a public gathering) and assuming sex workers in Switzerland are not cheap hence they would not be seeing a lot of clients, it doesn't sound (too) crazy. In other geographies where there are clients and escorts bargaining for a $40 bj, the context might be different.

I would like to know why "services offered by sex workers" are OK, but "sports competitions involving close physical contact are not." What if I want to wrestle with a sex worker?

I think sex workers in Switzerland may be required to undergo regular testing but I found no confirmation of that. If testing is required, a Covid test can be added to that pretty easily.

Also, the country's sex worker union is recommending safer positions: "The move comes after sex-worker advocacy group ProKoRe drafted guidelines on how to do the deed without spreading coronavirus. The group recommended that sex workers service their clients by engaging in “doggy style” and “reverse cowgirl” positions — instead of missionary style, which has a higher likelihood of transmitting the virus with closer face-to-face contact."

Great! Administrations can now dictate which positions are allowed. Soon, all we’ll be able to do is hand over a condom filled with semen. Thank you very much!

Well, if it's OK with Switzerland, it should be OK for me, now that I'm single again. But their borders are only open for certain countries, it seems. I'd be interested in a hiking trip, but they'd have to let me in, of course.

Paragonya in Zürich reported it can accommodate up to 130 patrons! That would be close to a tin of sardines. Apart from queue spacing at reception, emphasis on protecting employees, and typical disinfecting (mattresses, etc), it appears that anything goes in terms of interaction with trade.

You are correct, only citizens of certain countries are allowed to enter.

See the below link dated today - note that U.S. citizens are still not allowed to enter Switzerland.

https://ch.usembassy.gov/covid-19-info/

From the above link:

"As of, June 15, Switzerland has lifted all COVID-19 related entry restrictions for travelers from other Schengen countries. The Swiss government has not announced a date when Switzerland will lift the current entry restrictions for U.S. citizens."

Zurich and Geneva are awesome.

While the hotels in Zurich are great, the vibe in Geneva is so much more relaxed.

Will be happy when they let Americans back in to play :)

I lived in Geneva for 4 years back in the 80s and had a very fulfilling gay life including a live in Swiss lover. Worked there occasionally during the 90s and haven’t been back since. I guess I should pay it a visit again as soon as travel permits to see what changes have occurred.
