I'm somewhat new at hiring and am curious: do you guys ask ahead of time about the masseur being nude as well and if MT is okay?

Some listings you can glean the answer, but others are unclear. I asked one provider and he replied: "We can discuss when I'm there." Is that him protecting himself, or essentially saying what I'm asking for he's not okay with?

I prefer not to know and see what happens and how the session develops. As long as members of this forum say they had a good experience, I’m good. As always YMMV. So your experience might not be the same as others.

Yes some masseurs don’t like give specific details about the session via text. I never ask. Rentmasseur helps a little by having 3 options therapeutic, sensual and erotic but that’s just a general idea of what the masseur is willing to do.

This forum really helps on what to expect. Via text, you can ask the massuer what you will be both wearing which can help to know if he will be nude. And then once you meet the massuer at the start of the massage, you can respectfully ask about MT/HE. It depends on your vibe with him. That's just based on my experiences. So it really helps if you research about the massuer on this forum if you want to know what to expect.

After advice from seasoned members here and reading on other threads, I ask for mutual nudity in my initial contact text or call to make sure there are no issues or disagreements unless the provider has a reputation and advertises as such. It has not lead to any problems as of yet. I just like to be clear up front. I move on if they are hesitant or timid.

Like several others above I also prefer the element of surprise because it heightens the sensuality of the encounter for me.

That being said, I do try to research them on here. People are usually pretty friendly and forthright if they have seen a specific professional.

My technique when booking is to either not ask at all (usually for guys well know in the forum) or request “therapeutic/sensual” over text when booking an initial appointment. No more detail than that. Therapeutic-only masseurs will jump in at this point to say “therapeutic only” or “I don’t do that kind of massage” so I can pass. 99/100 times it works out as I would like it to!

If I am paying $160/hr to $180/hr or higher I want to know upfront and always ask if the massage is in the nude with MT and HE. I don't want a negative surprise and have the masseur be fully clothed and only perform a therapeutic massage with no nudity, no MT, and no HE. That is an element of surprise I can't accept at a $160/hr-$180/hr price point.

My experience with that answer has usually (not 100% of the time) been good. I've found it means they're okay with it but don't want to discuss over the phone.

Wanting to wait until you are there to discuss could also mean that he is willing to do it, but not for the base rate and will upsell. Advising you of that before the massage starts is preferable to doing so once things have progressed to a certain point during the session.

My approach is to request an erotic massage with mutual touch. I avoid the word "sensual" because that can mean just about anything. Erotic on the other hand is pretty clear without being explicit. Never go into details that could get you into trouble with the thought police.

Would you discuss potentially illegal activities by text with someone you’ve never met?

THIS!!!

I agree that everyone has the right to approach the spending of their money the way they see fit, but that said, I never ask for details and have had only three experiences that didn't become erotic.

The subject has also come up repeatedly with providers after multiple sessions and the information they've conveyed is they extend more latitude to the clients who don't ask those questions or push the boundaries, for it makes them ill at ease.

I don't initiate discussions with a masseur about potential sensual/erotic elements of the massage. I do research on the guy (e.g., ads, reviews, this forum), take a risk, and hope for the best (I've had wonderful surprises and frustrating disappointments). I'm, however, cool with a strictly therapeutic massage as long as it's skillfully performed. I have asked about erotic massage in the past but stopped because 1) answers don't always reflect behavior (YMMV), and 2) I feel creepy and lecherous if they say no.

My behavior does result in me not knowing what to expect, which can be exciting. I've, for example, hired guys from MF who I assumed would be strictly therapeutic but were borderline escorts. I've also hired guys on rentmasseur who, despite checking "erotic" and having sexy pics, did not offer an erotic massage. Furthermore, various combinations of nudity, MT, and HE might be included in a massage. I recently had a massage from a guy who checked "erotic" on rentmasseur and had nude private pics. Although he was nude and allowed MT, he spontaneously mentioned during the massage that he didn't provide HE. I respect masseurs' boundaries, but they need to ensure that their advertisements reflect what they provide. Perhaps I'm tacky, but it's unlikely that I'm going to call a massage "erotic" if the masseur didn't touch my dick.

I had been specifying in my initial text that I wanted an erotic massage, until I got a text back once saying that it was a wrong number! I reported it to rentmasseur, and they must have tried it too, because the option to call or text that provider was removed. In fact, even though the ad is still active, there is now no way to contact that provider at all! I guess he had already turned off the email option.

Having said that, I do specify that I want an erotic massage (in my second text, after confirm I have the right number), with both of us naked. I don't think I have ever gotten a negative response.

I'm one of those that will pretty much ask up front or I'll ask if they have any rules or do's/don'ts during the session. I usually get the answer I'm looking for. If I don't I search the forum or ask another member before I commit. This forum has saved me some money and helped me avoid disappointment.

I always want to have a clear picture of what to expect: erotic or therapeutic. I expect to pay more for an erotic massage with all the bells and whistles. I either get the information here or by asking the masseur directly.

It's easiest to ask if it's an ad on an escort site (rentmen) that lists "erotic massage" as one of the options. On the normal massage sites I try to be more circumspect. As others have stated, if the provider does therapeutic only, he usually is pretty clear about it.

I never ask. I use this site and combine that with profiles from RM and MF and can determine expectations from there.

Secondly, I don’t want to “request”, those elements. I want the masseur to want to do what he does as a choice, not a perfunctory obligation.

Using these formulas has worked very well for me.

Oddly, I’ve never booked an erotic massage. When I get a massage, I use a licensed therapeutic massage therapist for strictly therapeutic purposes since my daily workouts require it, along with Active Release Therapy from a chiropractor. I do massage myself for my companions, which they and I love.

I used to try to determine what was included in the massage experience by the fee being charged (sensual/erotic being on the more expensive end). Then I had one of the most sensual massages I’d experienced, for < $100. And I got into an interesting discussion with a masseur who was charging $150 for strictly therapeutic massage; he told me his fee was justified by his training and experience, and that I would be covered at all times.

Since then, when contacting a masseur I’ve never seen before I tell him that I prefer to be undraped. In almost all instances the masseur has responded that it’s fine, as they prefer to give the massage in the nude, anyway. Actually, I can think of only one time that the masseur wrote back, simply, that he doesn’t do that sort of massage.
