Question for other escorts/masseurs -- thoughts on late night and super late night appointments? Love them and want more? Hate them and refuse them? Hate them but view them as a necessary evil?

I'm considering limiting late night incalls and banning late night outcalls altogether. But the entrepreneur in me hesitates, wondering if I'm losing focus businesswise. I feel guilty giving up that money.

I am a natural night owl, so when I first started I always made myself available late night. Pretty lucrative, if exhausting and unhealthy. Lately, I've been making less money, so sat down to debrief my business practices. I realized: amongst other gaps in service, I've been taking fewer and fewer late night appointments over the past year.

In the past year, I really buckled down on tracking nutrition, steps/activity, and workouts. I now workout first thing upon waking up, translating to more daytime activity and productivity in general, and sometimes two-a-day workouts. I had a good body before; now I get nonstop compliments. I've also become more confident and popular socially -- more hookups, more getting hit on and picked up, more social invites, and growing circle of friends etc. Predictable outcome in hindsight, though I didn't anticipate it. Kinda sad, in a way, thinking how body type influences ability to make even platonic friends, but it is what it is.

So I've gradually become less available for post-11pm appointments. One, because increased daily activity has translated to earlier sleepiness and bedtimes. Two, because I'm more likely to have a full social calendar on weekend nights and Sunday Funday.

It used to amuse me how my phone would be silent all day on a Saturday to all of a sudden receive a flurry of post-midnight messages, now it's frustrating. Either because I'm sleeping and missed the texts/calls, or because I have to decide whether to ditch an outing with friends -- or a date -- to get myself in provider mode.

My quality of life is much better now having a social life and sleeping when the body was meant to sleep EXCEPT for increased financial struggles. I don't miss the anxiety that doing an outcall to a stranger's apartment at 3am provoked. But I have some clients and potential clients who are now frustrated.

Is this a dilemma for anyone else? Are late night appointments the general rhythm of this business for everybody? Would you or do you choose to sacrifice your social life (and sleep) to focus on the monetary gain? Or would you sacrifice the money for quality of life? I guess it ultimately depends on what's important to each of us, and I'm clearly picking quality of life side: I'm now looking for flexible day gigs for extra income as opposed to going to back to graveyard shift sex work.

I usually stop after 11:00.. I don't take anyone after that. Ive made a couple of exceptions that is for my a couple of clients who made it worthwhile. Otherwise, there are more weirdos after 11:00 and in the wee hours and you leave yourself more vulnerable to those who are askew if you work those hours

After reading that makes me want to see you.

An escort i see fairly routinely tells me that his busiest hours are after 10 pm... usually he does 2 or sometimes 3 calls between then and 4 am- all spontaneous, unplanned bookings. I couldn’t imagine doing that but then again, i’m not that young and need my beauty sleep. I usually book him for the ungodly hour of 7 or 8 pm dinner followed by some play.

The guy who I visited in Las Vegas basically started at midnight. My appointment with him was at 7, which he thought was so early that he let me kinda hang out for a few hours after our appointment while he was getting ready. He took a few phone calls and finally left for his first "real appointment" at just before midnight. I texted him the next morning just our of curiosity and he said he met with five clients that night and made like $6,000 on a slot machine. Busy night.

It depends on where you're living. SoCal ppl have very flexible schedules, so day time's no problem. NYC ppl work till 8 or 9 or even 10, so late night may be only option. Oh and those SoCal people who are from the East Coast tend to prefer late nights.

When I was an escort in my 20s I took all the 3 am calls just because I thought it was sleazy and fun.

Once I was in line at 2am to get into the Hollywood Spa (bathhouse). My pager went off, I used someone's nokia (remember that ring tone?) to call them back. Drove to the hills for an appointment. Finished just before 4, still felt energized, so I went BACK to Hollywood Spa and fucked till Dawn.

I switched to day time and early evenings in my early 30s and remain there now.

Point-being, late night is exciting and exhausting. Also, there's more likely to be drugs if that bothers, or excites, you.

Well I can't speak for everyone, but meeting a fit, healthy, good looking guy in the early evening sounds like a fantastic idea. the latest time I've ever hired an escort is 10:00 PM.

I can't imagine what the eastern european doorman would say about my late night callers, but the doorman's lips are sealed with every christmas bonus.

Most of my hiring is done when I travel and when I'm on vacation I don't like to sleep much so I stay up really late, alone in my hotel room drinking some beers and surfing the web... sometimes I like company at 3 or 4am. And I'm perfectly sane. Not all of us who hire late are total creeps. I think I'm a pretty great client, actually.

Oh yes The Hollywood Spa....brings back some memories!!!! And they even had a cafe where you could get your late night munchies to go after you were done.

interesting thread. my opinion is (and there exceptions) but usually late nights are not good. I'm a client and usally i am tired and/or drinking. and as in another thread i should believe everything in a thread so i dont trust rm available now status because usually it means available with an hour or some time frame. the couple of late nights ive had have not turned out well so i now try not to do it. i know its my dick talking but I've learned to respect myself and others and get some beauty sleep instead. lol.

Sounds like we’re contending with the same dilemmas, but different reasons.

Me personally: I have done appointments at every hour of the day. However, for me it really varies. I will do a late night call if the client is lucky enough to call me when I am leaving a nightclub, and haven’t found anyone to go/bring back home. That’s happened many times and was most common for me in places like Dallas. To me, a lot of late night callers are people who aren’t compelled to meet an escort in broad daylight.

However nowadays, between traveling when in tour and being 60 miles from town when I’m at home, I generally don’t take late night calls anymore. I don’t find it to affect income, but like some have said, it may vary based on where you live. If you’re in a small market town where everything closes at 9 pm, you’re likely never to get late night calls...they’re usually in bed by 8 or 9 pm. But in big market/late night cities, where people are up late, it’s not uncommon.

My do not disturb has actually been turned on from 2:30 am to 9 am. But I usually call it quits at 1 am and I don’t like to take clients much before 9:30 am.

My most recent latest night call was in a small Midwest town. He wanted to meet at 1 am, which worked out for me because I was arriving late anyway. When I got there, i started feeling a sudden bout of fear because this was a dark neighborhood house in the city, and I could hardly see the dude standing there (I already knew what he looked like though, based on my client screening procedure)

Fortunently, all was well and he was hot as fuck. The evidence of that was left on his pillows and headboard. I was not lying when I said he actually did remind me of the guy from the “Boo’d up” video that was played 100 million times on the radio:

From a client's perspective, I am grateful for the guys available late night. I often hire when I am on business travel. I typically get to a city and have a business dinner or a meeting that runs into the early evening. By the time I am done with work and showered, it's pushing 10 or later. And it's frustrating when guys who advertise "24/7" or have their little green lamps lit on rentmen, then act pissy when I reach out to them. I texted once around midnight and the guy responded "do you know what time it is?" To which I responded; "yeah, it's a time your site says you are available" Some guys are smart enough to set their parameters clearly: something like "available for outcalls weekdays from 6PM to midnight" does the trick (forgive the pun).

Lol, maybe his mother answered the phone that night.

But on a serious note, I can understand why someone would need a late night call. I’ve gotten annoyed sometimes myself. Sometimes it’s not the time, but the time the appointment is called in. I appreciate it more when a client reaches out earlier in the day and says they want to meet later that night. But the spur of the moment late night calls generally involves getting out of the resolved comfort zone (no more clients coming tonight, so I guess I will drink this wine, start this movie, and get under the covers).

So when someone contacts out the blue asking to meet late (especially annoying are any kind of downtown or resort hotel which requires parking, walking a mile, etc. versus just a run of the mill place where you can pull up to the door or not much further)...sometimes it can come off like, “this escort has nothing better to do right now, than to see me”. Im not particularly fond of when (usually time waster) clients hit me up in the evening, and then expect me to drop everything to cater to them...not understanding what I may be doing at the moment. One client last Saturday kept texting me, all like “hello?” ??, busy?? Only to cancel the next day our session was.

I know that’s not the intended meaning, but to avoid that..try to make your calls as you’re coming into town. For example, I had a client contact me before his flight that day to meet around 3 pm. Worked out perfectly. It wasn’t a week in advance, but it was enough time catch me before I would have driven off and been miles away already.

Just have to think ahead...the advantages of hiring an escort unlike Grindr, you can contact around and have someone ready ahead of time...versus taking a gamble that someone may be available and ready when you are available and ready

Do you wake them up that late for them to come to see you?
