The problem with Vegas is that its a majority transient town. Many things can unexpectedly come up to put a damper on this activity... such as significant other/friends/family unexpectedly changing plans on you so that you aren't free after all or losing all of your cash unexpectedly at the craps table (just to name a few).

In my experience, the reliability of providers isn't any better than of the clients.

Vegas is definitely a transient town. My clientele in Vegas is currently made up of approximately 50% random travelers, 40% travelers I have met in other cities, and 10% locals. In my experience local hiring income and clients expectations of rates goes right along with general cost of living in the city as well, so in Vegas it will be lower than say Los Angeles. My suggestion would be to try out traveling to Los Angeles since it is close and cultivate clientele there as well.

Its becoming harder and harder for me to book appointments in my city. Anyone else having this issue?

I go to Vegas once every while, even met a couple clients from the forum there. I recently spent a few days there earlier this year and really stuck around to get a feel of the city from a local perspective. In my book it’s a “go only if there’s someone specific to meet before arriving”.

I can’t recall who told me or where I read it (though I’m inclined to think maybe a local), but it’s sometimes referred to as a playground for the straight “bros” of the world, as far as nightlife goes. So it would make sense it’d have some affect on gay life in general down there.

But there’s also any and every kind of escort or porn star in the area...competition is fierce.

Are you on Twitter? I know there’s a lot of Vegas guys on there who could give you a good rundown. I personally wouldn’t want to need to make regular runs to LA for business because it’s expensive for hotels, and I’d only want to drive before rush hour or at night because the traffic and mountian passes i15 can slow up trying to get anywhere on time.

From an economic standpoint, I think Vegas has recovered from their recession period a few years ago, and now the Raiders are going to be playing there, which I feel could liven up the city even more and bring more of a “you can live here now” vibe versus just a party only destination...being that sports teams seem to bring all types.

If the Iconic that just opened is the old Share there should be plenty of customers and connections there. Share was always hook-up central. And they have private rooms.

I think you are correct that the building was Share in an earlier life. While I was not at the opening last Saturday, a friend was there and said it was a lively place and he had a good time. He told me the shows were first rate with good dancers and he will be going back.

It sounds like it's Share re-opening under a new name. Share also had elaborate performers on stilts, etc. I guess Stripper Circus will move back there from Piranha. A hundred strippers and escorts would come over from California every weekend and perform on the poles and take customers upstairs to private rooms. The DJ's were very elaborate with lighted costumes etc. It was only open on weekends and closed early. Very very hot guys. More Anglo than Piranha. I'll start going back to Vegas now. I like the chill attitude at Piranha but this place has the sexual frenzy and hyper show.

Any updates on Iconic? Their website seems rather sparsely developed... still many placeholders

I talked to Alex a couple of days ago. Each weekend grows in attendance. Still working out details to make it a well know national venue. Word of mouth is building the business: a great gay dance club is emerging.

After the Summer ends (with its heat), he expects the national convention crowd that comes to Vegas to add to the crowds at the club.

Alex is doing most of his own website work and it is a question of time. I hope he gives it some attention soon.

I'll be in LV in Sept. Based on schedule, Sun night my only option. Only thing I can tell from website is that Sundays appear to be Karaoke night. Wish I could tell if that means just Karaoke, or if gogos every night.... or what goes on there......

My (granted limited) experience with Vegas was that there were a lot of hot guys visiting that really want to get fucked. I was thinking, it must make an escort's job prospects harder for sure.
