I live in the SF Bay area. Over past two weeks I have traveled through NYC, London, Paris and I am going on to Berlin, Madrid, and Barcelona. The RM ads everywhere seem to have Brazilians placed prominently in all these cities. Sometimes they claim to be Italians, sometimes Caucasians, sometimes native Americans etc. But you can tell they are from Brazil if you meet them. What's up with this Brazilian take over of RM?

They go into Europe often visa-free but there's not that many in the US yet because it's very difficult for them to get visas.

Brazil has 210 million people.

If you tire of Brazilians hire a couple guys from Romania, who are also everywhere. You'll run back to the Brazilians.

I don't have anything against Brazilians. I do like them and had great time in Sao Paulo and Rio a year ago. But when I go to these other countries I wanna try some local flavor. But I keep running into the Brazilians. You really have to look hard to meet local guys.

If you want to meet locals you perhaps need to visit provincial cities and not capital cities eg in London you find yes Brazilian & East European escorts dominate and you don't find many British guys.

That is indeed true most places in Europe. Especially western Europe. You can go to Berlin or other big German cities where hustler bars still thrive. But all 6 hustler bars in Berlin are virtually 100% guys from Romania. Brazilians would be welcome. I haven't seen a German in one for 10 years. I've only ever seen 1 Spaniard in Thermas in Barcelona. It's half Brazilian and half Romanians. Patagonya in Zurich still gets a lot of Czechs with some Brazilians and Romanians, but never a single Swiss.

To meet locals, you have to go online.

NO. It predates him by years. in NYC, they are like the second or third biggest source of undocumented/illegal immigrants per the NYT. They are everywhere, straight or gay, male or female.

It was partly a joke, but I recognize your point about not being a new phenomena. There will always be immigration from countries with enormous class divides (I'm almost surprised it isn't happening from the USA yet). But, from friends in Brazil, I can tell you that amongst the gay community, the need to leave Brazil has increased since the neo-fascist homophobe ("I'd rather my son be dead than gay") took over the presidency there.

I had no idea there were many in NYC. I just assumed most were Dominicans if they weren't eastern European. Even in south Florida I haven't noticed a big jump in Brazilians except for the dancers at Boardwalk in FTL. We get almost none in DC.

Actually again wrong. Brazilians in the US are unique amongst immigrants from developing nations in that they are mostly middle class or higher by Brazilian standards. And frankly far whiter than typical Brazilians. It’s a lot of one way airplane tickets. They are NOT like most other Latin American immigrants in this regard. Its a whole thing.

They used to be more typically working class. I’m talking the most recent wave. LOts of well off Brazilians who feel unsafe etc in Brazil coming tO the US and even Europe (especially Portugal).

Yes, we are in agreement. That's consistent with what I said above, and why they're leaving is the violence that is inevitable in a deeply class divided society. Have a good night.

As a nation they seem to be on the attractive side? How come they are so hot?

Walk the streets of Rio and Copa or Ipa beaches and you'll see not every Brazilian is utterly attractive. However, the highly mixed population of Natives, Africans, and Portuguese has resulted in an appealing look. And that very sexy language doesn't hurt, too.

A escort of mine got a visa to America through becoming an airline steward. He said there are a lot of gay, good-looking airline stewards on all the major international airlines. Sure enough, I do see some good-looking presumably Brazilian airline stewards often when I travel.

I had a personal trainer who was Brazilian. He had what he told me was a "white card, " for people granted political asylum. That was pre-Trump. I haven't seen him in a long time. I'm afraid he may have been deported.

The three best lovers I've ever been with were all Brazilian. One of them gave absolutely outstanding head, best I've ever received. He told me he lost his virginity to the repairman who came to fix his mother's refrigerator when he was a teenager back in Brazil. He was so smitten with the repairman, he went to his shop the next day and seduced him. They fucked right there in his repair shop and became lovers for a year.
