Is leather a dead fetish? No S&M, just leather... I like to hire guys; younger, built and smooth... in leather. It seams, however, that it is offensive when I ask guys about this.

What if (assuming you can afford it) you accumulate some gear/clothing of the type you like seeing guys in, then hire a guy you like the look of, then ask him to put it on at the start of your assignation. Maybe the gear + your excitement will turn him on & he'll get into it more than he'd thought he would.

It seems to me like leather is a fetish for older men, usually bears. That's who I always see in it, so I attribute it to the 40+ crowd. And since I'm much more attracted to younger guys, it's probably why I've never cared much for leather.

 

I'm the opposite of you though. I love the BDSM activities, but not leather. I'd prefer he dominate me while looking like he just came from the gym.

Leather is still a major turn on - unless they are not being truthful, many RM ads still list leather as an activity/genre they are at least comfortable with. Plenty of leather gear resources on the web; granted “Dore” and other festivals may appear to attract the 40+ crowd, look a little closer - plenty of 20 and 30-somethings out there in gear. I completely forgot my leather biker jacket. My partner had it made for me at Johnson Leather in San Francisco at least 20 years ago. I have had the lining replaced once and the older it gets, the better it looks. I've had guys stop me on the streeet and ask where I got it. I went into prying mode and gingerly asked how much it cost. $5,000. If I could afford it my measurements would be on their way with the $. I think that's cheap!
