Hi,

As a newbie, i was wondering if it is safe to trust most of the Rent.men ads as for real? It seems a lot of you rely on them, and i am hoping to jump in and contact a couple of them.

Thanks in advance,

No it isn’t. You should do some further research.

This forum, as well as Daddyreviews.com, are great places to lookup an escort and find if they are real and reliable (through someone else's experience).

Who are you looking to hire? We can maybe show you how to research a guy with an example.

Welcome to the forum, by the way.

I think most of the ads are, in fact, real. However, it is often difficult to tell from the ad whether it is one of the majority or the minority. That's where the Forum can help. Between experienced guys sharing tips to detect a potentially fraudulent ad and asking for feedback on a specific ad you can get help sorting the decent guys from the not-so-decent ones.

EDIT: I agree with @Tarte Gogo - tell us who you are interested in and someone will help. And welcome to the Forum. :)

As with most in life, you should never offer blind trust at a face value assessment.

What will do you well diving into hiring is developing a strong sense of investigation, learning subtle clues of offerings as well as red flags, and being knowledgeable of exactly what you hope to get out of your time with an escort.

For me I have a couple of things that have led to very good hiring experiences:

1) Multiple photos. If they only have one or two, I pass.

2) Do they have any reviews on RM or whatever site. If it’s 4 or less and then all happened very close to one another I’m suspicious. If it’s more, I go farther and keep investigating.

3) I read their statements in their profile or interview. Do they seem articulate? Responsible? Concerned about connecting? Professional? For instance is their screen name “BigDickDallas?” If so, I’ll probably pass. That sounds like the “wham bam thank ya ma’am “ sort, which isn’t my type. (If it’s yours, that’s up to you.) Basically, I know what I like, and I can tell by the non verbal cues (ie flipping the world off in photos - I’ll pass on that, etc.)

4) Assuming the above checks out, I do research on here, Daddy’s, google, etc. Assuming those sources indicate a positive meeting, I go to the next step.

5) I reach out to them in MY preferred method, and provide a detailed account of what I’m looking for. If I get broken sentences as a response or limited response, I move on. For me, I like to have a good, positive connection. Obviously, if there is no courtesy reply, I move on.

I haven’t made many mistakes doing the above.

Best wishes on your search!

Excellent advice. I agree on all points.

Thanks for all of the replies. Very helpful info! I am in Chicago. I prefer smooth twink types. I like to top but playing is fine too. Here are some I am considering. I tried to share a bunch in hopes of hearing back from someone with experience with one of them. Any other feedback is much appreciated.

Let’s take the first one as an example:

The pictures seem home-made and quite genuine to me, so does the text in his ad. He has a lot of rentmen reviews but I don’t trust those, no one at rentmen verifies who is the sender, so it could be him, or a pal.

1. Use the search on Daddy review, type “Tristan”. Your guy doesn’t appear, so nobody has yet reviewed him formally under this name.

2. Use the search tool on this forum. Paste in the whole string “https://rent.men/TristanNYDC” which returns only this. https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/411-tristannydc.135245/#post-1488049. Nothing either!

3. Google his phone number 6468634020. This links only to old ads of himself, using the same or similar pictures, example from escortwiz. It seems at least very consistent over time, which is reassuring. That also gives you an idea of when he started escorting. Also it tells you how old his pictures are if he is still using the same.

4. Reverse-search his pictures in case he stole them from someone else. I use the app “reversee” for this, with the option “yandex”.

1_E5129_EB_72_CB_471_B_B116_F3_A257_D467_BD.jpg

In this picture’s case, there are no other pictures to be found online, so it doesn’t seem he stole that one from a public website.

Conclusion: there is no red flag and he seems genuine, but no one has reported on his behaviour, which could be for several reasons, for example:

a. No one over here liked his profile enough to hire him. Or ...

b. People have hired him, but the experience is neither bad, nor good, so no one felt they had to give us the heads up about a warning on this guy. But not good enough to tell us we shouldn’t miss him. Or...

c. Errr, team, help me out here, any other reason you can think of for nobody telling us about this guy?

When you contact him, look out for off-putting replies. Fake people tend to have low respect for clients, so often that transpires through their communications.

@John4, You can now do this for all the other guys and make your mind.

To Tarte's excellent guidelines I might also add: do the pics pass the "smell test" i.e. are they so impressive (e.g. muscular, handsome, ENDOWED, "model-like") that someone might be tempted to steal them? In the example cited, though Tristan is a nice-looking guy, I doubt that anyone would want to steal them. Sometimes you can also smell a rat when the photos don't correlate with the escort's description of himself (this is a notorious giveaway on A4A) - for example, the pics look like a bodybuilder and then the escort describes himself as having an "Average" body. Or, he says he is slim and then he describes himself as being 5'7" and 210 lbs. (and is not a bodybuilder). Finally, I immediately lose interest if the escort has an attitude, has a problem with answering relevant questions that reveal the scope of his services, or seems reluctant to offer any kind of verification. In the end, skepticism is a virtue in the escort-hiring world.

Forum members are fairly likely to write a review of an escort. I believe a very significant number of clients may not know that there is a site for reviews at all, and if they did, would not feel comfortable or motivated to do a review. So it is possible an escort has had a number of hires and a review does not appear.

I do think this is a pity. I find the review process very simple and anonymous.

I personally do not trust Rent.Men reviews. Here in the States I only see star ratings, and I have heard that escorts can request bad reviews be removed. I have hired based on the comments on the forum where an escort was not reviewed on Daddy's (I submitted a review of that escort).

Wonderful post, Sister Tarte.

I would just add one more thing you could do when researching a Rentmen offering. I am sure it did not come to your mind because in the example you randomly picked there are no reviews.

But if there were any, you can also research the reviewers. How often do they review? How long have they been members? etc. Not only that, you can even reach out to them and ask for details.

For instance, a Rentmen reviewer made the difference in my decision making process when I was researching Allen. He had many reviews. I picked the guys that seemed to have a more reliable profile and sent them messages through the RM messaging system. A couple responded and the comments made by one of them led me to meeting that amazing boy.

I strongly disagree with those who think Rentmen reviews are useless. They are questionable, many are fake, you have to take them with very careful consideration, but indeed Rentmen reviews ARE NOT useless.

I like to see if there are written reviews on Rentmen. I do it on a free VPN and with Chrome: since rentmen.eu requires cookies, the VPN doesn’t go through. Chrome is slow enough to tap through before rentmen looks for its cookie.

Selfies in hotel elevator mirrors like Dayton. My biggest way of telling who is an escort if I suspect they are also is good for verifying if the pic is real.

Stolen pictures are almost always from porn or from guys on Instagram proud of their looks and body, rarely from other escorts as they'll get mad quick. Hotel elevator mirror selfies are almost always honest and current.

Yes, I know it sounds weird but it's worked for me 100%.

Daddy's Reviews are your best bet. Try some of the well reviewed guys here at first. That way you probably won't get your heart and soul crushed the first few times. But lets face it, you're always gonna be taking a leap of faith. And even then, there may be little chemistry between you two. Have a good attitude, allow yourself to be grateful and to be surprised, and don't give up. Who knows, you may even meet someone who will become a friend. Not much better than that.
