I haven't quite done this, but I have tipped in appreciation of a provider providing an excellent time at a lower rate than others and being willing to inconvenience himself for me
I saw an escort in Paris last year and had a fantastic time.  He charges a lower rate if you come to him.  During a more recent trip, I arranged another meeting and, although he wasn't able to host, after I volunteered to host, he said that he said that he would charge the incall rate.  True to form, he arrived and showed me a good time.  I added an extra amount because I knew that I'd have a good time and because he'd volunteered to take the incall rate for an outcall.

It's not a tip, but after seeing a regular for 5 years at the same rates, I insisted on giving him an "inflation adjustment" after the past year. Mainly because he owns a car and drives to me, and gas prices have exploded.

The best tip many escorts get is a simple "let me know when you're back in town, I definitively want to see you again".

Over my years of hiring, I learned the hard way that I have to do some "due diligence" and ask questions that aren't answered on RM or the other sites.  I've had it with escorts who won't kiss, or won't cum, or have 7 roommates hanging around, or announce there is an extra charge for bottoming.  In my experience, on the RM site escorts usually just tick the "I am into" boxes indiscriminately, but for example, very few will actually rim a client or let you put a toy into them.
 I do, however, try to be direct and to the point ("do you kiss?," "are you near a subway?" etc.) and less like a bad porno script ("you gonna shove your big cock in my...?").  If an escort won't answer the questions, I am not going to hire.  Communication is a two-way street.

It sounds like I'm likely in the minority, but I won't wait more than 10 minutes for an escort if they hadn't notified me well in advance they are running late.  Nowadays it only takes a quick text or email to notify someone.  They either learn some basic business etiquette or they don't need my business.  I usually have to adjust my schedule to meet them and sometimes have a long drive as well.  I expect them to be on time.  Sorry if the provider overbooked, was at the gym, wanted to eat breakfast first, etc.  They are essentially telling us our time has no value.  My own clients don't accept the excuses so why should I accept them when the tables are turned and I'm paying $300+/hour?   

Yup. The newer, younger escorts (even those new to RM without a single review to their name) are asking too much. A recession will give them the course in economics they need. Like someone above said, I also live in an area with pages of escorts who want my money...and in the past month or so, there were even more.
Since the so-called "business world" came up, I should also mention that with the coming recession, CEOs and other executives have announced that the first candidates for layoffs will be the people who refuse to come to the office, or don't get there enough or in a timely manner. An entire generation is going to have to grow up quickly and drop their bad habits.

Millennials think you're insane for expecting them to show up at 6:00 pm when you say 6:00 pm.  When you question them, their answer is "nobody does that". ( In their age group..that may be true ). Very sad.
I was always the guy who got to every meeting 10 minutes early because I always left extra time to get there.

To the posts above, I almost the opposite as a client. Mostly and hesitate on reaching out and always try to minimize the interaction because I truly strive to respect everyone's time. To a fault sometimes -- I need to be more forward in what I want and need.
If there's an escort I really like or want to see, I generally keep track of their travel via RM and reach out when the time is right. If they reach out to me, then I know they're interested or respected me in our time together. 
In some weird way, I almost equate these interactions to a flight attendant in my mind since I travel so much. They deal with so much shit from the general public that they believe (rightfully so) the general public is horrible. Because that's true. No matter how much you're charging, if I can reduce the friction in our interaction, that's cool in my book. 
As a client I want to make you feel comfortable too, because the sex will just be better. Right? Just don't get crazy. Seems so simple.

Had my second visit with Santosromeo yesterday.  A complete opposite experience once I arrived.  About half way thru he starts rushing things along.  When I said slowdown, not yet, he tells me he booked another client to start at the exact time my session was suppose to end.  No time between appts.  He proceeds to bring our session to an end early.  Confused because we had prearranged our meeting details, disappointed, and not wanting to get into a verbal fight at the moment, I paid him (my mistake) and left.  Later I sent him a message explaining my feelings.  No response.   I thought and shared here that I had found a great one after our first meeting.  Unfortunately, that has not turned out to be true.  I will not repeat a third time and advise you proceed with caution. 

Joe is my choice whenever he is home (in Detroit) but he has been traveling extensively for the past six months so I rarely have a chance to see him anymore.  He is top notch.  Great massage, big beefy man, and an overall great guy.  One of the best out there in my opinion.  

If you want a true BFE, hire someone for an hour and have amazing sex -- but more importantly talk a bit and get to know them. If you genuinely make a connection, the rest will fall into place and that's when you hire them for an overnight, hike, theme park, or whatever you're looking for and more.
I couldn't imagine trying to go for a BFE with someone I have never met before, but that's just me. If there's no click or connection, move on. Plenty of fish in the sea.

I agree.  That is a pet peeve of mine.  All services and rates should be known in advance.  Nothing worse than an escort surprising you with an additional fee during the massage.  Completely kills the mood for me. 

My first massage with Christiano was amazing.  Very sensual, engaged, etc.  Like others have said, he has an amazing body.  The second experience was the complete opposite.  He wouldn't give me his room number, even after I texted him that I was in the lobby.  He said he will only meet clients in the area in front of the elevators on his floor.  I did that and waited again until he came out to get me.  Strange-especially considering I am a repeat client.  The massage was rushed, he was sniffling the entire time so I assume he was sick and it was obvious he had no interest in being there.  Of all my years of hiring, he was probably the most extreme in regards to having completely different experiences with the same masseur.  He's a beautiful man but I wouldn't repeat.  Maybe we all have "off days" I guess.

Some, not all, providers feel that many clients are time wasters. 
If a client does not immediately accept the information posted in the providers advertisements or has a few questions for the provider, many times, a client gets ghosted by the provider.
As the above poster said, there are two sides to every scenario.  
 

On the flip side, I, as a client, wouldn't waste anyone's time. But I find it odd when a provider advertises his services continuously, and yet when I reach out multiple times with the utmost sincerity and respect in hopes of arranging a meeting, I am not granted the dignity of a response of any kind.
