  1. A flight attendant states he thinks he caught monkeypox from a dirty hotel room or on the plane. He's currently in quarantine in a hotel room in Fort Lauderdale for 3 weeks. Thankfully his airline is paying for the costs and giving him a $50 daily grubhub credit.
  2. It's ok. At the time I didn't understand why either but from looking at the faq at the nyc health site https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/doh/downloads/pdf/monkeypox/jynneos-vaccine-faq.pdf, this is what it states: Can I get the vaccine at the same time as other vaccines? The JYNNEOS vaccine may be given before, after or at the same time as other vaccines. The exceptions are the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. People at increased risk of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart), particularly young adult males, might consider waiting four weeks after their JYNNEOS vaccine to get a dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. However, if vaccination is recommended due to a known exposure to monkeypox, you should get the JYNNEOS vaccine even if you recently got the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
  3. Would you hire someone who already had monkeypox and is now completely healed?
  4. Another patient interview. His advise is if you have been exposed, to try your best to get a vaccine.
  5. Here's an interview of the first monkeypox patient in Riverside County, CA.
  6. I just read this article from a few days ago about the recent Monkeypox deaths in Spain. Both were young, healthy, and not immunocompromised. "In a report to the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Isabel Jado, director of Spain's National Center for Microbiology, outlined details of the two deaths that had occurred in the country, including that they developed encephalitis—a swelling of the brain." https://www.newsweek.com/monkeypox-deaths-spain-healthy-risk-factors-1730385
  7. When I got my monkeypox jab, they advised us not to get covid booster shot (Pfizer or Moderna) within 4 weeks of getting the monkeypox shot.
  8. I thank Silver Steele for his courage to interview showing his face with monkeypox. He also published a photo timeline that I think is helpful to know how monkeypox progresses and heals over a course of 3-4 weeks. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg23cQVOZ8p/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  9. I've never seen a tip jar at a private party in someone's home. When I've hosted a small party, there's no tip jar but I do give a tip the bartender at the end of the evening.
  10. I also enjoy going to Morgan Library! I used to love going to the Morgan Dining room restaurant for dinner, where they served early 20th century cuisine (or inspired by it!)
  11. My friends and I would walk to Cherry Grove, and then take the water taxi or water limo back to FIP in the evening.
  12. Just went to Fire Island Pines recently and had a great time! My friends and I opted not to do the underwear party this year due to monkeypox and instead just went to the piano bar. Lots of space. Great times singing showtunes and pop music. Loved it! To no surprise, drinks were pricey at $13 per single drink and $26 for a double. I went for a jog each morning and every single guy I said "hi" to at least acknowledged me and said "hi" back or waved. Overall I think people at FIP are friendly but yes there will always be mean gurl type guys there too. If it's your first time going, I suggest going with a friend who knows FIP or attend one of those fundraisers at one of the FIP mansions.
  13. So interesting you thought that, Charlie! A decade ago I watched this documentary called "Be Like Others" which is about sex change operations in Iran. They're completely legal. Trailer below. In the doc, a few men who consider themselves homosexual are willing to undergo this surgery so they may finally have sex with men without being persecuted.
  14. Charlie, I also have never watched Leave it to Beaver. I googled colored photos of him and he is very attractive.
  15. I had a similar experience. It was just a painless hard lump that slowly went away after 7-10 days. BTW, just in case anyone is curious on what the lesions may look like in the 'underwear zone', here's an article from New England Journal of Medicine, published July 2022. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMicm2206893
  16. When I was in Toronto back in early July getting my shot, I was told they only recommended those immunocompromised to get the 2nd shot. The 1st shot should be fine for healthy individuals for at least 2 years. Here in USA, it seems like they highly recommend people to get 2 shots within 4 weeks even though there's a limit in the supply.
  17. Yup I've been enjoying it as well!!!!! I felt sooo bad for Devon Allen with his 'false start.' To me, he's sooo good looking. Sydney was amazing!!! Hope to see her race again at the 4x400m relays tomorrow!
  18. Have any of you watched the athletics in Oregon this past week?
  19. apparently he's a med student in DC.
  20. I think lesions can also appear on the penis and scrotum. A lot of the interviews I watched/read back 2 weeks ago just referred to it as the "underwear zone".
  21. How does SeanCody work? Do they pay the actor a one-time amount per scene or does the actor also get royalties? I saw the gofundme page and he only raised $45 from it. I didn't even know he was on IG.
  22. Wow. One of my favorite SC actors is Randy. May he rest in peace.
  23. I think it varies by province since I had friends who went to Montreal and the clinic they went to required them to have gone to a bathhouse recently. For me, the form asked for the healthcard number but I told them I didn't have one and they said it's ok. I went with Canadian friends and they input their healthcard number.
  24. I got the vaccine in Toronto a few days ago and no reaction for me thus far.
  25. Just wanted to share my experience getting the vaccine in Toronto. I went to Metro Hall location in downtown. Overall it took 30-40 mins of my time. I had to fill out a form and sign it, wait in the line (a few people ahead of me), take the shot, and then wait for 15 mins in the waiting area in case of allergic reactions. The lady who gave me my shot was at 519 a week before and told me that one had a 2-3 hour wait! Thank you to @TorontoDrew for the info above!
