  1. Is this for a hookup or for a relationship/boyfriend? If it's to hookup, it may just be timing and taking advantage of the opportunity when it comes (i.e. when the hot guy just got dumped and is very horny and just want to hookup with anyone who's giving him attention...) I remember in college I had a friend who was average looking but hooked up with some really hot guys at the clubs. Yes alcohol and some chem stuff were most likely involved but he still hooked up with them. As for dating/relationship/boyfriend stuff, it may be similar in the straight world where money and citizenship may play a role.
  2. Yes and I plan to go in April 2023 so if I'm lucky will get to sit next to you again!
  3. Oliver, my sincere condolences. I'm just catching up on here and am shocked to read Epigonos is now with the angels. I attended PS Weekend 2021 and as a newbie, I didn't know anyone yet Epigonos gladly welcomed me to sit in his table. Such a true gentleman. I still remember him mentioning in this forum that he plans to have the words "I Did It My Way" on his epitaph and I hope it did work out.
  4. I went in 2021 and had a great time! It was my first time in Palm Springs and I treated it as a long weekend vacation from cold NYC. During the day some folks went for a hike or just stayed in their resorts. There's the Saturday night dinner and then Oliver's pool party. Lots of food and booze. When I went, I felt half the attendees were escorts and the other half were "us old farts" hehe jk (ok maybe it was 40/60 split). I'm not sure if there's an influx but I did notice that some folks had to leave the party early or arrived late due to appointments.
  5. That's true in the straight community too.
  6. I've seen more ads for this movie lately and just rewatched the trailer and I agree it just seems so unrealistic.
  7. That's a good idea to have a few regular FBs and maintain those relationships through the years.
  8. Not sure if I believe that reddit post. Here in the US I thought everyone just had 1 dose or 1/5 dose? Is it possible in other areas of the world to get 2 doses? I heard some places only recommended 2nd dose to those who are HIV+/immunicompromised.
  9. Given majority of flight attendants are female, then I'd think more females would test positive for monkeypox if indeed he was infected in the plane.
  10. Yes it just finished a restoration of its exterior.
  11. A flight attendant states he thinks he caught monkeypox from a dirty hotel room or on the plane. He's currently in quarantine in a hotel room in Fort Lauderdale for 3 weeks. Thankfully his airline is paying for the costs and giving him a $50 daily grubhub credit.
  12. It's ok. At the time I didn't understand why either but from looking at the faq at the nyc health site https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/doh/downloads/pdf/monkeypox/jynneos-vaccine-faq.pdf, this is what it states: Can I get the vaccine at the same time as other vaccines? The JYNNEOS vaccine may be given before, after or at the same time as other vaccines. The exceptions are the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. People at increased risk of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart), particularly young adult males, might consider waiting four weeks after their JYNNEOS vaccine to get a dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. However, if vaccination is recommended due to a known exposure to monkeypox, you should get the JYNNEOS vaccine even if you recently got the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
  13. Would you hire someone who already had monkeypox and is now completely healed?
  14. Another patient interview. His advise is if you have been exposed, to try your best to get a vaccine.
  15. Here's an interview of the first monkeypox patient in Riverside County, CA.
  16. I just read this article from a few days ago about the recent Monkeypox deaths in Spain. Both were young, healthy, and not immunocompromised. "In a report to the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Isabel Jado, director of Spain's National Center for Microbiology, outlined details of the two deaths that had occurred in the country, including that they developed encephalitis—a swelling of the brain." https://www.newsweek.com/monkeypox-deaths-spain-healthy-risk-factors-1730385
  17. When I got my monkeypox jab, they advised us not to get covid booster shot (Pfizer or Moderna) within 4 weeks of getting the monkeypox shot.
  18. I thank Silver Steele for his courage to interview showing his face with monkeypox. He also published a photo timeline that I think is helpful to know how monkeypox progresses and heals over a course of 3-4 weeks. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg23cQVOZ8p/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  19. I've never seen a tip jar at a private party in someone's home. When I've hosted a small party, there's no tip jar but I do give a tip the bartender at the end of the evening.
  20. I also enjoy going to Morgan Library! I used to love going to the Morgan Dining room restaurant for dinner, where they served early 20th century cuisine (or inspired by it!)
  21. My friends and I would walk to Cherry Grove, and then take the water taxi or water limo back to FIP in the evening.
  22. Just went to Fire Island Pines recently and had a great time! My friends and I opted not to do the underwear party this year due to monkeypox and instead just went to the piano bar. Lots of space. Great times singing showtunes and pop music. Loved it! To no surprise, drinks were pricey at $13 per single drink and $26 for a double. I went for a jog each morning and every single guy I said "hi" to at least acknowledged me and said "hi" back or waved. Overall I think people at FIP are friendly but yes there will always be mean gurl type guys there too. If it's your first time going, I suggest going with a friend who knows FIP or attend one of those fundraisers at one of the FIP mansions.
  23. So interesting you thought that, Charlie! A decade ago I watched this documentary called "Be Like Others" which is about sex change operations in Iran. They're completely legal. Trailer below. In the doc, a few men who consider themselves homosexual are willing to undergo this surgery so they may finally have sex with men without being persecuted.
  24. Charlie, I also have never watched Leave it to Beaver. I googled colored photos of him and he is very attractive.
  25. I had a similar experience. It was just a painless hard lump that slowly went away after 7-10 days. BTW, just in case anyone is curious on what the lesions may look like in the 'underwear zone', here's an article from New England Journal of Medicine, published July 2022. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMicm2206893
