I can't say that I ever really stopped. I slowed down for a variety of Covid related reasons (availability of masseurs, partner working from home, etc.) but I never really stopped. At the longest, I probably went about 6 or 7 weeks between massages during summer '20.

I haven't seen him since pre-pandemic so it's been over a year and a half, but he was pretty good then. I hired him at least 3-4 times, which is a lot for me with one guy. (I like variety lol) Sorry to hear that he apparently has some issues to work through (or whatever is going on with him). I would recommend him based on my experience but again, it's been at least 18 months since I've hired him. Feel free to DM if you wish to share any updates. I'm just curious and wish him well.

I went to Energy Spa a few times over the last few months, mostly because I wasn't able to plan ahead like I prefer and my regular guys were (understandably) not available at the last minute. I got what I expected and more or less what I wanted out of the massages there but I would not recommend Energy Spa in general. The last massage, for example, was very short. It's hard to describe for obvious reasons but he was in a rush to get to the end and almost left me to get dressed except I requested some more work on my shoulders to make my hour session last longer than 30 minutes. haha

That's pretty bold (or desperate?) of them to actually post that. 😲

Mmmm, yeah same happened with me. He was kind of pushy with the upsell with me too, asking several times. Big turn off for me. Terrance has an ad on rentmasseur too (terrenceZz), so maybe he's used to upselling. My first appt with him thru rm was good but recent appts have gone downhill to the point that I don't want to hire him anymore. I didn't realize it was the same Terrance/Terrence from rm who is at 27 until it was too late. 😕 Luckily, there are several other good choices at 27!

Maybe Antonio (Latino) or Mark (Asian)? Antonio isn't exactly huge but I'd say he is more muscular than twink.

Maybe with no extras, but at a lot of these "NYC spas" that may offer extras, I would suggest a 75-100% tip is more the norm. A $40 tip on a $70/hr massage would be on the low end. If you search the forum, there are a couple of threads that discuss tip etiquette.

@HungreeMunkee69 I tried Mark yesterday. Pretty good massage. His hands moved fairly quickly for the first few minutes for the initial "head to toes" once over, but he slowed down as he concentrated on various areas (shoulders, lower back, legs, etc.) and gave a nice massage. I would repeat.

It's not a spa. It's his apartment. He has a room set up just for giving massages. Nice set up but no extras in my experience.

I only tip 100% when I'm very satisfied and more if they go beyond, like venturing into escort territory. For me, if the massage includes "unrestricted mutual touch" and a prostate massage, they earn an automatic 100% tip. I don't know how far you were able to go with your masseur but 100% probably should have been enough.

I've texted the spa several times in the past. Their number is a cell phone, which can be used anywhere, not just in that location. The spa can be closed and someone can still be taking calls/answering texts to set up appts for when they reopen. ?‍♂️

If they are "reopening" then it seems they had to close for some reason. Sounds like the story is most likely true unless they were closed for remodeling or something (unlikely). Anyway, I texted one of the masseurs and he said it was a problem with one masseur only. Sounds like he was the target of the sting (not the guy I was texting, but he didn't mention any names).

Escorting or massages are the main reason why I go to ATMs these days. ? In my day to day life, I use my debit/credit cards for 99% of my purchases. However, for transactions that require a little more "discretion," cash is the only way to go. I don't want to share my personal info, real name, etc. with my provider and I don't want to take the chance that my SO might see the charge. As it is, I am at least slightly nervous that someone will look at my ID while I'm using the bathroom and my wallet is available in my pants on the chair. I assume that many providers would rather avoid the fees associated with cards too.
