There's more out there than just HIV. Some guys still like to be careful or at least selective about who breeds them. Getting other STIs can be expensive. They may need to take time off or they could get a bad rep and lose repeat customers if there's a perception of them giving a client an STI.

While it's true that tipping basically doesn't exist in Japan, my experience with Redline was an exception to that rule. The guy I had at Redline had lived overseas and had definitely picked up some more "western philosophies" like pushing for tips, giving the sad story of talking about all of his bills, etc. I think I gave him an extra ¥2000 or so and said "sorry, that's all I have on me." I did not have this experience with other providers.

Did you give a $100 tip or was the total you gave $100 ($65 for the massage and $35 for the tip)? A $100 tip is great, but $35 on a $65 massage (or $30 on a $70 massage, however the math works out to be $100 total) is not good unless it's a strictly therapeutic massage at a "regular" spa. Yes, a 100% tip is normal for anything more than therapeutic. That would be my starting point, depending on the experience.

I would never discuss it with a masseur in a spa. A private masseur, sure, but not in a spa. I use body language to convey my interests - lifting my ass when he's massaging it (or nearby), spreading my legs wider, again when he's in that area. And I will "let" my hand graze his groin or inner thigh to let him know I'm interested in more than a regular massage. If he doesn't respond, I don't pursue any further.

Uhm, $30 on a $65 "thera-sensual" massage is not that great... A $65 massage is pretty cheap in and of itself so I would consider a 100% tip more appropriate if it's "thera-sensual." If I were going to a more traditional spa, then 45% would be a decent tip but not here. JMHO.

Not so new. I saw him a few years ago. I think I contacted him via mintboys or friendboy? Something like that. He had a few ads with different pics actually. His massage was very basic, no skills to speak of. I think he said he's bi but it felt more like just gay for pay. (I had to provide my own ending.) He kept bugging me to meet again too. I did not repeat the experience...

I'm glad you feel so high and mighty when it comes to how people who work in this business decide how and when to show their face. 😱 While I prefer a face pic too, I have a little compassion and understanding if the pic I get is similar but not exactly identical to my masseur. And if you truly are as concerned as you say you are about the massage experience then why ask for a pic to begin with? What does their appearance matter if it's just about the massage? 🤣

I've seen Andrew twice. Even if the pics are not his, they are a close resemblance. If anything, he looks much better than the pics. To me, he's like a handsome Asian Ken doll come to life. He is gorgeous. His massage skills are average but he is willing to please. If you want a great massage, maybe look elsewhere. Realistically, if you are on this forum then you probably aren't so concerned about the massage though, right? 😜
