Is $400 really that much? If you are really worried about the difference in  200 or 300 or 400 then maybe you would be better off putting some funds into your 401(k) because if money is that tight...you need to stick to porn online.  

$400 might be worth it, but its the 'send an uber' crap that annoys me. If you need to build in cost of transportation to your rate, just do that. Don't nickle and dime me. You're becoming a bad airline.

Guys are asking this amount or more. Plus, they are also asking for uber rides to and fro. I just can‘t justify paying uber as I never take uber in manhattan. These guys are coming from Brooklyn to Chelsea, but i think the L train is relatively safe to travel isn’t it? 
The past few guys I‘ve contacted, one wanted 800 then he said 600 would be fine. The other wanted 600 with uber and i was OK with 500. But, again, these are inflationary prices…arrggh.
