CuriousByNature reacted to BuffaloKyle in Idaho Man Sentenced for Intentionally Spreading HIV
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/idaho-man-gets-30-years-for-trying-to-spread-hiv-through-sex-to-male-victims/ar-BB1lZqzx?ocid=BingNewsSerp

An Idaho man was sentenced last week to 30 years in prison for trying to spread HIV to dozens of victims.
Alexander Louie, 34, admitted to having sex with 30 to 50 different men and boys, including a 16-year-old, and didn't tell his partners he was HIV positive so he could infect them with the disease, the Ada County Prosecutor's office said in a news statement.
I just don't get why people want to do this. He's either mad at the world for getting HIV and wants revenge basically and/or finds it sexually exciting to infect people with HIV which is more likely I think the case when it comes to this guy.

CuriousByNature reacted to SouthOfTheBorder in for providers - the thing nobody talks about
for providers - serious question, how do you take care of your sexual health with the current standard of unprotected sex ?  I’m not talking about hiv because that’s almost irrelevant w Prep and most positive gay men on meds.  But that leaves a lot of STIs that can still cause major problems/discomfort.
for me, condoms aren’t a moral question or decision but rather a practical one.  I just don’t want to spend unnecessary time going to the doctor, testing & then meds if I should be exposed to an sti.
i can remember a phone call from a provider years ago saying he had an sti and I should go get tested.  I appreciated the call & sure enough - I had it too.  Ever since then it’s been condoms for me - it just seems that mixing with so many people it would be statistically difficult to manage sexual health.
Im wondering how working providers who routinely engage in unprotected sex w multiple partners can stay healthy ?   Most guys say they are tested every 2-3 months, but is that even enough ?
My understanding of DoxyPep is that it’s useful after occasional unprotected sex, but not meant as a routine - maybe I’m misinformed on that - and that really only treats Chlamydia & Syphilis, not gonorrhea and all the others.
if the providers have any tricks of the trade used to mitigate, I’d like to know that.  And is there any sort of discreet visual inspection that can be done of potential partners ?  do providers ever decline clients if something doesn’t look right ?
I don’t think anyone actually likes condoms - some people are just more risk averse than others.  And almost nobody discusses or acknowledges contracting an STI.  Honestly, this is my biggest hangup about sex.
My sense is established professional providers are more on top of their sexual health than the average person - just another reason why I avoid the apps and prefer paid encounters.
I’ve found almost nobody wants to discuss this subject in personal terms - it’s always in the abstract and seemingly unrealistic w very little acknowledgement of the real world. It could be my fears are unfounded - and if that’s the case, I’d like to get perspective on that too
Ive seen references in other threads about having conversations w providers about sexual health & practices - I’d like to know how that ideally goes from a providers perspective
And yes - I know all things carry some risk - it’s about making better choices, maybe not perfect ones.

Yes, but while not an STI, insomnia is a rampant issue in the PNW.  Sleepless in Seattle.

That is amazing. 6 x 1.5 hours per customer is a long day. That does not include 90-minute massages or the ability to build into the schedule too much play time per client. If you want to be "generous" with the customers, you're looking at an 11-14 hour day. I won't even mention the sexual stamina one needs to work at that pace, if that is part of the deal. Who among us could work that hard per day, per week, even if the money was great? I couldn't.
The letter Kenzo wrote on this thread is also amazing. I would see him just based on that.
I once knew an older academic professional who did seminars around the country. Several of his marketing photos were upwards of 20 years old. I asked him about it one time, and he told me the older photos were mostly sentimental, like family pictures. Many fans had known him a long time.
Kenzo seems pretty dedicated to his talent, with a laser-like focus on customer service. IMO, that's the mark of a true professional, something very rare in this neck of the woods. He has earned his high praise, knowing damn well you can't please everyone.
Let's see if I can afford him, because now I want to see him.

While it may be disconcerting when a status isn't listed, in some ways it might be the most honest approach.
    1. An advertiser may not be aware of his actual STI status when you meet them - the status may have changed and they may not even be aware.
    2. Anyone who posts an ad can indicate anything as their status, even if they know it isn't accurate.
The main thing in meeting with anyone, via any means, is to ensure that you protect yourself according to the level of risk you are willing to assume.  Relying on someone's self-reporting of status can be dangerous.

This warms my heart more than you can imagine.  You and @Alex.Blessings should both be commended for turning around a negative situation in such an amazingly productive and powerful way.  You, @dk582, have gone out of your way to correct any misperceptions, and with great maturity and integrity, have not only acknowledged what you could have done better the first time around, but have walked the walk and not just talked the talk.  And despite the earlier critical and negative posts you made about your first massage with Alex, @Alex.Blessings clearly has the professional fortitude and inner kindness to meet again and show you what a great experience with him should be like.  I don't want to gush, but you guys are both awesome, and you've shown all of us how two adults can work together to make a challenging situation positive.  This has made my evening because it reinforces my long held view that humans were made to be in relationship with one another, and that disagreements and misunderstandings do not need to result in the breakdown of relationships, but rather, can actually strengthen those connections if we approach our differences with kindness and a willingness to understand each other. ❤️

Last week I missed paying for a head of garlic in my grocery cart as I went through the check out. I didn't realize it until I saw it in the cart as I was loading the bags in the car.  But yes, I went back in, stood in line again, and paid the 94 cents.  The clerk was surprised, but you can't put a price on a clear conscience
