I think there are ways to do this without harming the relationship. If you look at it from his perspective, he probably wants you to share in what he has found for himself. In my experience, the vast majority of Christians would not keep proselytizing once a person makes it clear that they are not interested. Perhaps tell him that you really appreciate your time together, and while you understand he wants you to share in his beliefs and its benefits, you have your own beliefs and it makes you very uncomfortable having these types of discussions and feeling pressured by him. If he doesn't stop, that might be a signal that the relationship needs to end, and you can tell him that you won't be able to continue meeting. True Christians would never want to hurt anyone or harm a relationship with someone - they believe what they have experienced is the greatest gift in their lives and they want others to enjoy it as well.

I normally travel solo, so the single supplement is something I have to consider. Unfortunately Norwegian and Celebrity rarely have one that is less than a 100% surcharge. Every so often there's a good deal, so I jump at those.

This must have been very disappointing for you. I'm sorry to hear this happened. My question to him would be whether he thought of you as a friend before he knew there was a service you could potentially provide him for free? Maybe he's young and ignorant, but it sounds like he's lost a good client because he wasn't able to value your time as much as you have repeatedly and consistently valued his. That is not a friendship. He's the one who lost out - especially since very few people can say that Barbra Streisand helped them with their resume.

This forum is a community of people, and obviously, every community has some members that get on other members' nerves. Most people here have never met one another, and it can be hard to judge tone and meaning when reading what someone has written. At least that's what I try to remind myself. There have been members who've made comments on my posts that could be considered 'mean', perhaps. But that's ultimately on them. If that's how they engage people, so be it, and it isn't any skin off my nose. There are some people on the forum who just won't let it go if you happen to disagree with them, and that can get tiresome. We don't always have to be 'right'. And sometimes various viewpoints can all be valid at the same time. It does seem at times that kindness is becoming a lost art. As are forgiveness and empathy.

It works out to about 0.29%. For someone out there in Vancouver to pay $7500 per month, they would need to own a property worth about $33 million.
