  1. Not sure if this has already been said (too lazy right now to read the entire thread...sorry!), but I suspect there are some men who are attracted to that “don’t waste my time” attitude / bravado.
  2. I’m guessing they do it because they can. When a critical mass of clients stop paying for Ubers, then perhaps providers will stop making that request.
  3. I question whether gay folks’ visibility in reality TV, especially in Colton’s case, counts as progress. As we’ve seen over and over again, the genre now peddles to audiences’ base instincts by recycling stereotypes of historically marginalized groups, presenting these groups as infantile, irresponsible, and ultimately, laughable. I can’t imagine Colton’s Netflix show doing the coming out journey justice, especially for those of us who are not tall, white, muscular, conventionally attractive cisgender men. Perhaps I’ll be proven wrong, but as of now, I suspect his show will present oversimplified and stereotypical depictions of the coming out process that will entertain instead of empower. But again, perhaps I’ll be proven wrong.
  4. It was as if the network assumed that there needed to be straights in the mix to make it appealing to a broad audience. Or maybe the network and producers just couldn’t take gay romance seriously. Whatever the reason, the inclusion of straight men in Boy Meets Boy offended me.
  5. Any intel on this gentleman? https://rent.men/ThatBoyLeo/#platinum
  6. This is a great post!
  7. Ah, I see. Name changes are often a red flag. Do you have any recollection of whether those prior threads were generally positive or negative?
  8. Wow! I didn’t realize that Twitter accounts could get that explicit.
  9. I didn’t find any intel on this site already about this guy, so I’m wondering if anyone knows anything. https://rent.men/HUNGMAXXXL/#platinum
  10. Bump. Any insights?
  11. I’m guessing the smells-bad rumor is from a disgruntled client or a jealous competitor
  12. There are 3 masseurs I’ve seen for years whom I trust. I just reached out to one of them to let him know that I’ve been vaccinated, I’m eager to get a massage, and I’d like to know what precautions he’s taking so I can make sure it sounds comfortable to me. That’s my approach to this. Hoping he replies thoughtfully and sincerely.
  13. lots of memorable quotes in those opening intros
  14. This show is modeled after the Real World and the Jersey Shore and the rest of the genre: throw a bunch of attention-seeking 20 somethings into a house and record their antics. It’s trashy, mindless entertainment. If you haven’t already done so, check out this clip to catch-up on the Gus and Jeremiah drama. They were best buds until this testosterone (and steroid)-fueled blow up happened.
  15. Last I heard, Gaga had offered the $500K reward for the return of the dogs, but she hadn’t offered any reward for the capture of the guys who shot her dog walker. Does anyone know if she eventually offered the latter?
  16. Ah, ok. I was wondering what happened to him. Thanks for the intel.
  17. I like this practice, and I might suggest it when I start getting massages again. Thanks for sharing this.
  18. Do you respond in kind?
  19. I’ve seen “covid negative,” “antibody positive,” and “vaccinated” in some providers’ profiles. I’m wary of relying on such self-reporting, but I wonder if asking providers to show proof of vaccination—and being asked by providers to do the same—could become a thing.
  20. 1) Tom Hanks on sitcom TV in bad drag 2) My 45 of Natalie Cole’s “Mr. Melody” 3) The Pop Rocks scare 4) Being forced in school to write “get well” cards to Reagan after the assassination attempt
  21. I’ve seen this story making it rounds on social media. If COVID does become endemic, I wonder how it will affect our massage-seeking and escort-seeking And my apologies if someone already posted this and I missed it https://www.cnbc.com/2021/02/12/doctors-warn-covid-will-become-endemic-and-people-need-to-learn-to-live-with-it.html
  22. I’ve experienced two types of “mean boys” in our community: 1) The conventionally attractive guys who belittle others for not being as conventionally attractive; 2) The Perez Hilton types who take out their jealousy on the “cool kids” by attacking others. In my experiences, many members of the first group only recently achieved their conventionally attractive status, which may help to explain their mean boy behavior. Again, these are my experiences.
  23. A musical pioneer. ❤️
  24. Kenzo is back: https://rentmasseur.com/KenzoNYC I was not impressed by him when I saw him pre-pandemic, but others seem to like him. I have also seen Fabronn. While not the best massage I’ve received, his was better than Kenzo’s.
  25. I got sick in late February 2020 before everything shut down and before Covid tests were available where I live. I’m pretty sure it was Covid since I now have long-hauler symptoms, including shortness of breath, GI symptoms, headaches, and brain fog that makes reading and writing difficult. I wish the federal government had acted sooner on scientists‘ warnings about Covid. And I hope that more of us hold off on massages until we get a handle on this pandemic. Trust me, if you’re lucky enough to survive, you don’t want to become a long hauler.
