  1. I met with him before he moved from IL to FL.  Would not recommend- hard pass.  Like others have stated- even after good communication on expectations, he did what he wanted to do.  His focus is not suited for this type of work.  Just look at his pics and admire from afar.

  2. Hi Pi-  Do not pay these guys.  There was a guy running that scam in the Chicago area several weeks ago.  A buddy of mine sent money to him via American Express and they have kept call at all hours, using different phone numbers, and asking for more money.  He had to change his phone number and has been very concerned- but “they”have not contacted anyone- his family like they claimed.
Another guy told them to go ahead and he would go to the cops.  The blackmailers blocked him on Sniffies and their phone number traced back to a Microsoft account.
Its going to be nerve wracking but, block them and go radio silent on Sniffies for awhile.
Check out a Burner Phone app like Tutanota or something similar.
If an inquiry is made on why you need a Burner App, you can use a burner number to provide to your clients when you travel or so they can contact you but not on your personal number (nice firewall) and also provide to  salespeople.
Do not beat yourself up, it happen and remember, these guys are professionals and this is their business.

  3. I still have him, he currently resides in retirement in my nightstand drawer, dressed in an orange jump suit with black boots.

My dad did not like me playing with a doll, so when his army uniform wore out, my folks though if he did not have clothes I would stop playing with him.   I had to resort to him being bare foot and clothed with larger items from my sisters Barbie collection.   My Aunts noted the situation and gave me all sorts of clothes and adventurer sets for Joe as gifts (it was fortunate they worked at Toys R Us).  Apparently it was "OK" for my younger brothers to have GI Joe's, the kind with the Kung Fu grip hands.

My original Joe was the blond early 1960's version, then he got a buddy, the red hair and beard "Sea Adventure" guy [now re-branded from a military guy to an adventurer]

I will confess when Joe was captured by the bad guys, more often than not he was eventually tied up.....

  4. Remember your horse etiquette when approaching the rear of a mare.  One of the
horse we worked with had tunnel vision.  One of the guys I was working with came up behind TW in his stall and did not call out or touch him.  TW got spooked, kicked and sent him flying into the empty stall on the other side of the barn.
So, if you are a stud-stallion, for your safety, announce your presence.
Ah memoirs; the pleasurable sound that well oiled leather emits while you are riding.  😉

I sure wish I'd had found a lawn guy like this one! I would have never sold that huge house with that big yard! 😜

A co-worker did this only in a speedo and tennis shoes.  He removed a large patch of poison oak, which was shredded by the weed whip and stuck all over is sweaty exposed body.  OMG, from the neck down he was in various stages of red blotches and fist sized rashes.  It took weeks to heal.  Gorgeous guy, tall, furry and ripped, but not to bright.

  6. Hey Cure69:

I am in the same situation, with a few years on you - 57 and have not taken the plunge, but I have my providers for my first time to bottom selected, when it is time.  So far I have been exploring with masseur's and becoming "comfortable" exploring this aspect of my life.

I would second Charlie's suggestion and consider professional counseling if your situation allows.   Two years ago, I was miserable, depressed and fighting the dark blackness that can over-whelm a person.  I was actively making plans for my suicide to look like an accident so my family could get my insurance money.   Emotionally I could not put my wife and kids through that pain due to my selfishness and knew something major had to be done, and went to therapy.   I don't want to see anyone else have to go through that and I should have gotten help much earlier in my life.

I have been in therapy for about 2 years now and  it has really helped to identify what I needed to do.   I have made changes and it has not been easy mentally, but worth every penny I have spent.  My therapist and I know the best option for me is to end the marriage and start over, but that is another issue for another time.

One of the best things I have done in my life is being a dad and raising my children with my wife to be wonderful, loving people.   If I decided in my 20's to come out, not to get married and have kids, I would not have had this experience.  So, don't look at what could have been and what was lost, work with what you have now and take it one step at a time.   Your 40's, at least in my life, was one of the most stressful and confusing, so be kind to yourself.

Feel free to PM me, I don't have all the answers and everyone's situation is different, but I can be a sympathetic ear.

    Take care.   Anton

  7. Let’s exam how a high end car dealer works on a client to buy a car; he sets you up with a test drive, and also allows you to take it home, so can integrate the car into your life, build desire and want.
Side note-car dealers….they are kind of predatory by nature (applied with my 4 inch brush)

Kris, if you checked him out, there is a 99% chance the same was done for your background.   Pre - lock down maybe he only saw you as a new client and was going to ask you to be a “business”client.
But, maybe after some 12+ months of self-refection On his life, he then felt “comfortable” sharing THAT aspect of his life  and wanted to go into the friend Plus category, and went BIG and really wanted to impress you.   You also had similar Covid time get together thoughts about him; your responds - actions( in a similar way) was purchasing the shirts, the Hotel room, stocking it with items….  You both were similar in approach to this meeting.

As the events of the evening progressed, he may have  became conflicted in some way and told a dumb creative lie.   You are 52 and have had more time-emotional experience to draw on.   What if you are the first guy he has really fallen for?   Now what?

Again, the creative story did not make sense, but he could have painted himself into a corner and panicked.

What were you hoping for?  A guy-friend to hang with, talk about things in your life’s that are most likely part of “normal” conversations and an occasional sexual experience? That is rare find.

Call him up, meet at a neutral place to talk and be honest and get it all out on the table.

Life is short and opportunities are fewer as we get older.

You both sound like teenagers with massive crushes on each other and are post thinking of what did it all mean.

PS  the younger generation does not call-text back   You have to make the first move.

    The Pollyanna perspective….,😊

  8. Being a big fan of the Broadchurch series, I was looking forward to watching this US based version. What has struck me is how accurate they have copied the clothing, the insides of the people house, what they eat and all the different personalities of the people. I grew up in this type of town and my main goal at 11 yrs old was to run as far and as fast away from all of that. The listless daily existence of life, with the raw explosive anger / violence just under the surface of your neighbors. If your job is working with the public, good luck. It was dangerous if you were different or quirky, you got the crap beat out of you. I actually had a slight PDST type reaction just watching the first episode and I could have stopped, but it is a good story, so I keep on watching.

  9. Hey Fluff - Sorry you are having aches and pains.

As for the 23 data, it was not set up to generate data under ISO 17025 testing methods and be a medical diagnosis provider. You are doing the right thing, seeing various specialist and gathering data.

Try to stay off the computer and looking at medical diagnoses. I know it is hard, but there are SO many articles that are generalized, with the pertinent information not explained very well. Get your own tests and listen to your experts.

I am a big fan of PT, they fix me up, tell me what movements-activities will result in pain/ problems, and help me adjust my life into these new parameters. When I hit a year or two over 40, I noticed I had a marked decrease in flexibility and could not "iron man" weekend warrior -work for long periods of time like I once had and bounce back pain free.

Try not to worry and let us know how you are doing.

    Take care - Anton

  10. TV stations were either UHF, or VHF.

Networks were on UHF. 2 was CBS, 4 (in Detroit) was NBC (not 5 like most cities), and 7 was ABC. We also got 9, the Canadian station. 9 had the afternoon dance show for teens (think American Bandstand, or the movie Hairspray) called “Swingin‘ Time”. Many high caliber performers, still revered today.

VHF were the local stations. 50, 56 (public TV), and 62.

Oh yes, Bill Kennedy at the Movies ( a bit player who knew EVERYONE in Hollywood ) and told stories after the commercial breaks while smoking. Rita Bell also had an afternoon movie show. All the classics, I think it was a rule these films all had to be black and white.

So many Canadian kids TV programs on UHF and Channel 9, until it was time for hockey. That is why I am so nice and polite ?

Canada is also responsible for transmitting Benny Hill and Space 1999 across the border.

As we got older, Creature Feature and “The Ghoul” sponsored the horror movies, and a lot of Detroit Tiger baseball - all pre cable.

  11. Hey @MikeBiDude, at least you got in the front door and scheduled a time.

It seems from my recent experiences of late the masseur providers are paying money to advertise / maintain an on-line presence, BUT, you follow their instructions (call only / text only) and they don’t reply at all. (only two attempts on my side, looking for a session a day or two in advance).

If massage is a part time thing and conflicts with their busy lives, then pull the ad. Also, why advertise business hours and days you have no intention of working?

At a minimum, a quick reply of “ Not this time, but I am available on xxxx.” How hard is that?

It is not just new guys, but it has also occurred with providers with good comment who are stable locals.

Hey masseurs...polite, clean, dependable daddy who is respectful, will treat you well and be a regular client who tips, who would not want a sure thing in 2021?

Is this becoming more common or just a Chicago / mid-west location thing?

Sorry for the hijack, just had to get that out.
