Precisely and in my 24 years of working I have never had want for more clients than I have. So I have fired clients some I have had for over a decade for being annoying. So it’s a two way street. I find that all I need to live is about 30 regulars. So unless you can unionize consumers in a grey market you won’t get to do or behave any way you want if you want to work with the the great providers. It comes down to treating people well from both sides.

I always have two sheets on the table and I say before the massage “drape for your level of comfort.” Makes for more laundry duty I know. However, as provider it is impingent to give the option. I have found that clients sometimes get on top or underneath depending on their mood. When therapists assume things about client preferences is when you open yourself to trouble. I just do outcalls so the warmth or not is largely dependent on the client. But as a courtesy when I get a hotel call and I see the temp set at 70 I encourage the client to let me turn the heat up because in two decades experience I have found that 70 is the point at which people get cold with a massage. Also just because someone says they are warm with their clothes on does not meant that they will be warm wince the take them off and get moist oil on them.

Having worked through the internet bubble in 1999 and the 2008 bank crisis in neither one was there a blip. I receive around 3000 dollars a month from a chick-fil-a Land lease. Yes I donate 15 percent to PFLAG. So no my standards won’t lower a bit. I won’t starve and I will not take abuse from anyone. But I feel seriously bad for your providers that you feel the need to be abusive or have them “lower their standards” due to the economy. You sound like one noted Gospel Singer who I know of who sent a love letter to his female provider for a 25 percent discount post FOSTA/SESTA. And yes I am well aware that there will eventually be a time to retire and I will grow old and tired. But I will be dammed if it is sped up by negative Nancies.

As for the paucity of reviews MF did a major purge over the past 18 months. I personally went from 45 reviews to 2 when the purge was done. Jake Deckard in NYC/LA had many more than that and also ended up with two when it was through. Now every 3 months we are allowed to post one review provided by email from our clients if MF doesn’t think it is on the up and up they will ask for the email details. There is no real rhyme or reason to which reviews went down but as a long time provider it is frustrating to lose legit reviews from over a decade ago until now. It is also funny to see hobbyists sneer at therapists for being therapeutic based on their reviews and copy. Because they (MF) won’t let anything that hints at sensual or the varied code words that imply it. Still us guys don’t have it near as bad as women providers who have lost virtually every advertising option and their much needed ability to screen and be safe. So it could be worse.

Even though, at 70, I am nothing to look at physically! and am a real "grower", I grew up with gang showers in school and the military -- I figure we are what we are -- and some days are just too hot for clothes!

What saves me and gets other men (always younger) interested in me are my great smile, beautiful smiling blue eyes, infectious laugh, pleasant personality and good energy. We we so much more than our physical body.

Even though you are so far the lone voice in this thread to cite this reason, it's the first thing I thought of as well. In previous generations it would be obvious if someone was taking a photo. Today someone can appear to be simply using one's phone and take surreptitious photos of strangers. Those photos can then be shared online quite easily without the subject's knowledge or permission. Perhaps these young men were simply trying to prevent having naked photos of themselves presented for the world to see.

The hippies are dying off. One of the positive things they did for out ultra Puritan country is relax our “standards” about nudity. Also in this age (happens on this site unfortunately too) people feel no compunction about posting people’s pictures without asking permission (were providers by the way so some of y’all think we’re open season.) And after they are posted they are available to anyone on earth. There is quite a bit to lose because people don’t practice basic respect of privacy.

When I first started teaching high school in 1966 the guys in P.E. thought nothing about showering together in gang showers. By the time I retired in 2002 the kids weren't about to shower together then simply loaded up on deodorant and went to their next class.

Wondering if the answer is to always visit N escort at their hotel/ home. Make sure a) clothing is placed in the bathroom - use the excuse of showering first. Then b) disrobe at home before going into apartment and placing clothing in plastic bag followed by a shower. In and of itself a shower is not known to kill the B.B. but they are more likely to hitchhike on clothing.

Reminds me of the days I used to go to the tubs!!!

Bed bugs have been a newly-rising issue again for several years now after having apparently subsided in the post WW2 decades.
If you have concerns about a hotel whether it's for booking for yourself, or for visiting a traveling escort or masseur, look online & read the reviews of the hotel. You might be surprised at how often one can find bed bugs mentioned as an issue & thus avoid a nasty situation for yourself.
Recently I did so & thus avoided not only the potential of bringing home the bugs but also avoided a dicey neighborhood street scene. It was unfortunate given that I really wanted to nail a visiting escort!

Top hotels in SF have had issues with bed bugs. So money won’t necessarily save you. About 12 years ago I had a studio that I sublet in SF. I sublet the sublet to another Masseur and in the intervening time the studio became infested with bed bugs. One guys studio had become infested and management moved him to another room but the poor guy dragged his infested rugs to the new studio and some hopped off and found new residences. It was hell to clean what I had left in the sublet.

Yes, we are much more likely to have diseases. Those of us who go to Prague a lot have known for a while that the Czech guys demand condoms with Americans 100%. But they will BB with other Czechs. 1.4 million, mostly gay men, live with Aids in the US. The HIV rate in Czech Republic is .02%......that's 1/50th of 1%. One of the lowest incidence in the world. And even much worse is our incidence of gonorrhea, hepatitis, etc. Prep has caused an epidemic of other sexual diseases in the US. European providers have reason to be scared of us disease-wise. An American even asks about BB and they will often block his number immediately.

then I wouldn’t pay a dime for soft dick.

I’d say something along the lines of “it
looks like you’re having a hard time getting
hard today let’s try this another time”.

In the age of Viagra....an escort who can’t get
hard....is in the wrong business. Would you
pay a plumber who couldn’t fix your leaking
    faucet? Of course not.

I’ve very rarely had masseurs not respond at all. But the ones that have not, I’ve later discovered that it wouldn’t have been a good match anyway. Not to skate around bad manners, bad luck, and bad timing (all of which it could be) and not to be too mystical but on the no responders, the universe was just saying « not this one » for you today (for whatever reason)
