When you're in a hustler bar you speak to a couple guys maybe, both of whom tell you they're Romanian, and they speak to all the others in Romanian. If there is someone not Romanian they or someone will make a point of telling you they're Bulgarian or they're Moldovian to let you know they're not Romanian. Almost all Romanians speak Romanian. Only about 1% are Roma and speak a Romani language of their own. I doubt I've ever seen one in a hustler bar. In Thermas sauna in BCN there's a range of nationalities and so everyone tells you they're Ukrainian, or they're Polish or whatever so usually by the first visit you know the nationally of everyone and people talk about "the tall Brazilian" or the "blond Pole" or the "short Romanian". Thermas is like Baskin-Robbins. And delightful.

Thermas is wonderful. There are guys from many places there. Romanians are a minority. Many Brazilians, Argentines, Poles, Moldavians, etc. Occasionally a Spaniard. But the Romanians there are "different". I've been around dozens and dozens of Romanian hustlers/escorts and not a one would ever consider doing oral or bottoming. It's fun to walk down the hall at Thermas sometimes when a line of Romanian muscle guys have their hard dicks blocking the way. But, as a top, I've never met one who would actually have "sex". Romanians are not a race or even an ethnic group. They include some Roma but also many Hungarians, etc from Transylvania. When people disparage Roma they are talking about an ethnic group. There are so many Romanians in most large western European cities that it's hard not to notice and something everyone talks about. And yes they are the poorest and the most aggressive in gay hustling areas and bars especially. But very few if any are Roma. Escort bars like Pinnochio in Berlin that have been there forever have now become virtually 100% Romanian. I was robbed by two Romanians inside Pinnochio in full view of everyone of 300 Euros a couple years ago. So yes, it's something gays talk about out of safety concerns. But no, it is not the Roma ("gypsies") people traditionally think about.

Even on WW2 there are many who say that Russia was many times more important than any other ally, against Germany. Which is true. At the end of WW2 there were so many battle-hardened Russian troops in central Europe they could have easily taken the continent. Why Yalta was necessary to make a deal with Stalin and why Russian troops had to forestall liberating parts of Germany given to other allies. But these people ignore the fact that had the US not handled Japan almost single-handily (sorry Aussies), Japan may well have invaded Russia and with a two-front war Russia would have been much weaker in Europe. So I would say the US was almost as important as Russia.

The Federalist/Whig/Republican parties were all a chronological string of parties representing the northeast industrialists and bankers. The Democratic-Republican party of Jefferson became the Democratic party in a name change under Jackson. Today the GOP has been taken over by the Trump right-wing populists and it looks like it's staying that way. Trumpers are poorer than average, less educated, evangelicals and "deplorables". The old Democrats. (It's weird Trump, a billionaire, leads them). The Democratic party is now the party of Wall Street limousine liberals. The old Republicans. More educated and urban and higher income. Hence. more "liberal". Both parties are private corporations. I was surprised the GOP let Trump win. I doubt the Democratic party will let left populists take their party. Populism is anathema to Wall Street, the banks, drug companies, etc. who both parties represent.

I had two of the top guys at Thermas (Lucas and Gabriel) come to my hotel a couple blocks away on different days and it was 100E for a session. The rate at Thermas for a session is 50E and if a nicer hotel is almost next door 100E is a good deal for a guy. Now calling in someone from RentMen or Hunqz who has to travel is 150E or more.

Two Hotel by Axel is a gay hotel two blocks from Thermas. The boys all know it well. The main Axel gay hotel has been famous in Barcelona for years. It's very nice and very busy with 100% gay clients, although it has a sign outside "Heterosexual Friendly". Very reasonable. For the price I think next time I will choose the more luxurious and trendy Chi Hotel directly on Gran Via and directly behind Thermas. But Two by Axel is fine even though the interiors are weird with no wall between the bathroom and bed so someone on the bed can see someone in the glass shower. Intentional I think.
