Even on WW2 there are many who say that Russia was many times more important than any other ally, against Germany. Which is true. At the end of WW2 there were so many battle-hardened Russian troops in central Europe they could have easily taken the continent. Why Yalta was necessary to make a deal with Stalin and why Russian troops had to forestall liberating parts of Germany given to other allies. But these people ignore the fact that had the US not handled Japan almost single-handily (sorry Aussies), Japan may well have invaded Russia and with a two-front war Russia would have been much weaker in Europe. So I would say the US was almost as important as Russia.

The Federalist/Whig/Republican parties were all a chronological string of parties representing the northeast industrialists and bankers. The Democratic-Republican party of Jefferson became the Democratic party in a name change under Jackson. Today the GOP has been taken over by the Trump right-wing populists and it looks like it's staying that way. Trumpers are poorer than average, less educated, evangelicals and "deplorables". The old Democrats. (It's weird Trump, a billionaire, leads them). The Democratic party is now the party of Wall Street limousine liberals. The old Republicans. More educated and urban and higher income. Hence. more "liberal". Both parties are private corporations. I was surprised the GOP let Trump win. I doubt the Democratic party will let left populists take their party. Populism is anathema to Wall Street, the banks, drug companies, etc. who both parties represent.

Books You Loved As A Child-Say 10 And Under

When I was under 10 we lived in a southern town and my dad had to go to this one newsstand downtown to get his sunday New York Times. I never once missed that trip with him because that newstand kept Physique Pictorial laying out on the bottom shelf with comic books on the rack above it I could pretend to look at. It was wrapped in clear plastic. I also remember a year later when they got their first copy of International Nudist Review. High def color pics and a star on the plastic over the penis. I always tried to nudge the plastic and when I finally did I got one of the biggest shocks of my life: a "penis" that looked like a brown carrot. I had never seen an uncircumcised penis and it may have been my obvious shock that caused the newstand to move that magazine behind the counter. Or maybe they ran out of stars. Anyway, I know it was years before 12 because by then I was allowed out on my own weekends and I was hanging out in the basement men's room of the Army-Navy YMCA giving encouragement to 18 year-olds headed to Vietnam. My "Thanks for Serving". I got one to buy me a Physique Pictorial. I took swimming lessons there every year and they thought I was a slow-learner. They finally graduated me anyway when I started getting rock hard boners in class. I remember one of the teenage teachers looking at my boner and telling me to "take it downstairs". He knew about the basement too but I never saw him there. He may have been one of the thousands of penises coming through the glory holes at the base PX. I doubt he was one of the mouths in the center stall. Few guys got that thrill because each guy there stayed so long. Too long I thought. Growing up gay next to a huge military base is different. Fewer kids books, more penises. The sex life at least is great. At 18 I graduated cross-country to college and to the Embacadero Y in San Francisco. -
90% means French kissing. BFE looks better as an initialism than FK, which would seem to stand for Fuck, so we invented BFE. On planet Earth, boyfriend experience more often means picking up someone else's clothes and doing their laundry.

He was over-educated (self-educated mostly) and he did dabble in philosophy a lot for a "politician". He was what we would call an ideologue today. But he espoused democracy better than anyone since Plato and Aristotle. Those two could have owned slaves also and didn't see it's evil like Jefferson did. Slaves were considered chattel property not people for thousands of years and in the US for almost another 100 years. He knew it was evil and freed slaves as he could afford to, which was mostly on his death since he was constantly broke. His black mistress brought many insults from Federalists, not because she was a slave but because she was black. His agarian preference was also a product of his time. Then it was how someone could work for themselves and not be employed to produce more wealth for a rich man. Jeffersonian democracy is revered worldwide as a good thing. His opponents were the Federalists who became the GOP; the people who think the rich are the most important.

I had two of the top guys at Thermas (Lucas and Gabriel) come to my hotel a couple blocks away on different days and it was 100E for a session. The rate at Thermas for a session is 50E and if a nicer hotel is almost next door 100E is a good deal for a guy. Now calling in someone from RentMen or Hunqz who has to travel is 150E or more.

Two Hotel by Axel is a gay hotel two blocks from Thermas. The boys all know it well. The main Axel gay hotel has been famous in Barcelona for years. It's very nice and very busy with 100% gay clients, although it has a sign outside "Heterosexual Friendly". Very reasonable. For the price I think next time I will choose the more luxurious and trendy Chi Hotel directly on Gran Via and directly behind Thermas. But Two by Axel is fine even though the interiors are weird with no wall between the bathroom and bed so someone on the bed can see someone in the glass shower. Intentional I think. Both the Chi and the Two have fancy rooftop pools but only the Two is gay. View from bathroom at the adult (gay) only Two by Axel.

Yup, Red and Richie who stripped at Secrets here were from Raleigh and said it wasn't that lively.

Ah ha. So you'd put Native Americans in the buffer zone between Mexico and the US as sacrificial bait for all the Mexican murderers crossing the border. Avalon !

hmm....a few blocks down. His 2 reviews are 2 years apart.

I thought Skype had a record function. I use EZ Screenrecorder on Android (it is). Not so EZ on Windows though.

Again, the west is the best.

Just maybe there's something between no foreign involvement and trying to dominate and micro-manage the world.

Good to hear.

A wall in the Rockies is absurd. Their only enemies are other nations' tax departments, but the Swiss have no army. Not even a national guard although every citizen is armed and trained to shoot. For some reason no one has invaded them, not even Hitler, and the EU leaves them alone. Of course an invader would have to put up with all those cow bells and long horns.

I think the OP is down close to Raleigh. Said he was 6 hours down 95 from Philly. Wants out.

looks just like a guy from Richmond who was a dancer at Secrets but I don't remember those tattoos. He claimed not to be straight either. This guy admits to not doing anything.....bad sign. Half the guys who claim to do stuff don't.

I think there's consensus recognition that WW1 became or at least caused WW2.

History's often quickly written by the victors but later researchers come up with a more balanced view. The US was already attacking Japanese ships in the far east with boats from Pearl Harbor before that attack. Pearl Harbor didn't happen in a vacuum, we were already in military hostilities. It was just a surprise they attacked so quickly while negotiations over the hostilities were going on. That's not unusual and the negotiations weren't getting anywhere. Pearl Harbor is why we got into WW2, not anything to do with Jews being gassed in Germany and Poland. I think that didn't even start until 1942. We refused to let refugees from Hitler into the US so we weren't too outraged at his actions. We went to war with Germany and Italy because they were allies of Japan with whom we were in a Pacific power struggle. Anglophiles wanted to help Britain somewhat, but even with FDR the US was very leery of helping Russia in it's war with Germany, which WW2 mostly was. Plan B, at least by 1945, was to attack Russia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Unthinkable I was surprised to see where even in Britain WW1 and WW2 are being combined in a view more sympathetic to Germany. Bismarck and the Kaiser wanted a German foreign empire like Britain's, especially in Africa. The intense rivalry between Britain and Germany caused WW1, nothing else. By the time Germany invaded France (with whom it had had a couple wars recently), it was clear Britain and Germany were headed to war. Archduke Ferdinand just happened to get shot at the right time. Militarism in both Britain and Germany caused WW1, which resumed as WW2. The Versailles treaty was so outrageous against Germany, making it a pauper country in the boom times of the 1920's and the most destitute country in the Depression, that WW2 was inevitable. A fair treaty (or no WW1) might well have prevented Hitler and WW2. Not what Britain was interested in.

Five alternative terms you can use instead of LGBT

Just don't call me "Happy" as some languages translate Gay. Queer is universally all-inclusive even if translated as "Deviant" or "Odd". -
Johnsons as well as the two other clubs in Wilton Manors with 30-40 dancers each night would say otherwise. Ditto the three huge Montreal clubs and Secrets DC which has 40 dancers and almost 700 customers on Saturday nights, almost as many as Pirannha in Las Vegas. Bourbon Pub in Key West is crowded and so are Oz and Bourbon Parade in NOLA, Fairytale Lounge, Monster and a half dozen others in NYC. My friend at Secrets makes $500/night tips and my friend at Johnsons makes $1000/night for lapdances. There is a bigger market now because it's trendy for girls to also go in these clubs except for the ones with private rooms. Naked men gyrating to music for tips instead of women is very p.c. Some clubs end up in high-rent areas eventually and can't afford to stay. Others are terribly managed. But the market's there for male strip clubs even if gay bars are dying.
