Yes, it's a very recent thing the past few years. Several of us who have friends we like to bring over have been discussing it because it's not traditional. If you check, the number of visitors from Europe has fallen a lot so it's not just anecdotal. They don't usually want to say why not but when pushed for reasons the ones I ask and those friends ask are fairly consistent.
