A Canadian accent and a US accent are usually the same in French. French don't hear a Canadian accent or a US accent, just an American accent.

I'd put Sanborns several steps above Denny's. The servers starched long Mexican dresses, the Mexican hacienda motif, the enormous breakfast and salad bars, and the freshness of the food and juices. I've been once. The interiors are never described as tasteful but often described as gaudy.
