  1. This is a lovely Christmas thread.

How about a conversation into why a lot of them died... And how that industry continues to ignore it.

Amazes me that porn blogs like to gossip about porn actors’ shortcomings, stints with the law and untimely deaths yet there’s still no dialogue happening about gay men’s mental health.

  2. No I pay the rate asked the first time if I like them then we set something up on a regular basis that’s good for us both

So you negotiate down, and an escort in no position to decline your offer, agrees. Got it.

  3. I've noticed a lot of (relatively new to the biz) guys quoting high prices lately. It's probably a combination of not knowing the market but maybe also because they need the money for something specific. I met a guy once that used his second semester tuition money to go to a music festival and escorted because he needed to make money quickly or he would be dropped from school. When you are needing $5000 or whatever quickly, you might try to get as much as possible from as few clients as possible.

The shocker is not the asking price but rather that someone WILL pay. lol.

  4. On what grounds do you deem it appropriate, if any, for an escort to justifiably increase his rate? Would you pay or would you expect to be “grandfathered” in?

With heightened experience in any job, one would either expect a raise or price his services accordingly. Factor in increased popularity, an aesthetic overhaul, or years in the business. Do you feel an escort is entitled to increase his rates?

How many of you have spent more on your faves due to increased demand? How many of you have severed ties?

  5. That’s 32.9% versus 4.4%.

Even if you copied and pasted the info, you need to find out why USD conversion is costing you 8 times more.

Sadly, there is no other universal payment option. Cash is king when I’m local, but at the rate that I travel it’s a sacrifice I have to make as conversion fees at airports (i.e. Travelex) and banks are much higher, nor do I wish to raise any suspicions bouncing from country to country and converting large sums of money.

  6. Do not, I repeat, do not stay in South Beach. It’s riff raff and tourists hell. I agree with @Benjamin_Nicholas and advise you stay in Brickell, which is way more sexier with many standout properties. Marriott Marquis was a fave of mine for many years but I’m sure there is much better now. The only thing that separates you and the beach is a quick ride across the causeway.

If you are still inclined to stay on the beach, look at properties in Bal Harbour. Surfside, Mid Beach and North Beach, all a bit more quiet, and all super accessible to escorts.

Check out Wynwood and Bal Harbour for upscale retail and restaurants.

  7. Ahhh so to get around that you would have to create an account and register it with a European bank to not get screwed over

That’s an option. The fee is like 0.30 cents to 1.00 which i don’t make a stink about, and clients don’t make a fuss as it prompts them to choose whether they want to pay me in USD or EUR, and they usually make the minor adjustment so I’m compensated accordingly.

  8. Does paypall charge yall a service fee to get the payment? I have only ever used it when buying concert tickets.

There are no fees to send or receive money within the U.S. There is a small fee to send money internationally or in my case, to receive money from an account registered in Europe with mine being registered in the U.S., atop currency conversion, etc.

  9. So you use venmo, zelle, cash app, etc...with your guys if you run out of $100 notes?

PayPal is king for boys who do business internationally. Cash App and Venmo debit cards are rendered useless abroad in the event we want to retrieve those funds or use that money. PayPal MasterCard, however, can be used internationally and money can be retrieved at any ATM. So if your provider isn’t just local, use PayPal.

  10. Question for companions: have you ever recommended another companion to a client?

A companion who I see when I travel to his area and I have met several times recently recommended another companion to me who is closer. I appreciated it and found it thoughtful. I was curious if this is common.

Of course. Referrals are great if you have a colleague you trust and who fits the same aesthetic you do or if you are well versed on the aesthetic your client is seeking. When living in New York I would refer clients (new and seasoned) to a colleague when I was out of town and unable to accommodate them, and he would do the same for me. “May I make a few recommendations..” also builds trust with new potential clients as you have their best interest in mind when referring solid candidates. This has turned into longtime clients for me, even though I was unavailable at the time they reached out.

  11. Findom is the most stupid thing ever. Why on earth would I give an escort money and not be able to have sex with him? How the heck does anyone get a rise out of that?

This isn’t a question for the general population but rather for someone who has the excess cash to indulge in such a fetish, and two, someone able to expand on the logic behind being used financially (for sport). Neither candidate of which are in abundance on this forum.

  12. I commented a few years ago that I had never seen a bad review on Planet Romeo (that was when Planet Romeo was easy to navigate and user friendly but that’s another story). I wrote a slightly sceptical comment on one occasion and it disappeared within a day. So many so called reviews are mindless odes to the boys beauty, wishing they would visit their city etc. Skepticism in the case in question I believe is well justified. This is slightly off topic but in so many review forums it is clear that some people are artificially promoting someone or the reverse. I saw a doctor some years ago who I was pleased with but I have recently noticed that he has received a number of negative comments on the Rate Your MD site obviously written by the same person with a personal gripe. The Internet is wonderful and has revolutionised dissemination of knowledge but should still be approached with caution.

You’ve never seen a negative review because PlanetRomeo/Hunqz allows us to hide comments we do not find suitable on our ad, whereas it is a “scarlet letter” on RentMen, whether justifiable or not.
