I was hesitant to recommend Alexandria. I enjoyed it, but I didn’t love it. In fact the library was my least favorite part of the trip. I found the architecture to be mildly interesting. Beyond that it’s just a modern library. So what? And it certainly didn’t seem worth driving 6 hours to and from Cairo across barren landscape to see it. I’m glad you enjoyed it, but it wasn’t for me. I did enjoy the fort, the seaside town, and the Roman catacombs. In fact, my nerdy Classical heart went apeshit when I suddenly realized I was standing in the middle of a Roman triclinium in the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. Our guide kind of sucked at Roman history and hadn’t even mentioned it. And yes, the rest of the group thought I was a weirdo and they just wanted to get out of the hole in the ground. If you’re thinking of doing Alexandria, I’d recommend planning on spending the night there. After Cairo, the clean sea air is a nice respite. And if you’ve recently done the 6 hour round trip drive from Aswan to Abu Simbel, the last thing you want is another day trip in Egypt that’s spent mostly in the van.

Ok, now you’re just teasing me. I have a "thing" for Roman Egyptian Mummy Portraits. Unfortunately, most of the ones in the Egyptian Museum (they have quiet a few) are so fucking dirty and covered in dust that you can barely make out the faces. It was incredibly frustrating to be so close to something so beautiful and not be able to see it. Did I mention?….Cairo is a dump.

Unfortunately, many of the treasures that were formally in the Egyptian Museum are "in transit" to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) Last I was there, they still had King Tut’s mask in the old Museum but about 90% of the rest of the Tut treasures were not. https://grandegyptianmuseum.org The GEM is supposed to open in 2023, but they’ve already pushed back the date several times by several years. I planned a trip over a year ago to coincide with the opening. Needless to say it didn’t happen. I ended up cutting the trip short and heading home early instead on lingering in Cairo. It really is a dump.

The Reluctant Traveler w/ Eugene Levy, Apple TV+
+ nycman replied to + BenjaminNicholas's topic in TV and Streaming services
Meh, I liked it. Didn’t love it. I find Levy a one trick pony and slightly annoying. That said, I did enjoy the Finland episode and I’m still looking for a sugar daddy to take me to the Amangiri. All the rest….old Jewish guy goes to insanely expensive hotels in moderately interesting places. Film crew uses (more like abuses) extensive drone footage…rinse, repeat. -
Egypt is an amazing country. Unfortunately, as you know, it’s just not safe. Really, anywhere, for anyone. That goes triple for gay men. Stick to the well trod tourist route and you should be ok. I’ve backpacked all over the world, but I would be very hesitant to go exploring on my own in Egypt. In general, it’s near impossible to do Egypt without a tour guide anyways. It’s incredible, but….go…see…get out.

Need Advice for lower back pain caused by muscle strain.

You might want to try Lidocaine patches. I believe they are available over the counter. I’m also a big fan of ice packs. 20 min on. 20 min off. A great alternative is a cooler filled with ice that pumps cold water into a pad. It’s less time consuming than running to the freezer ever 20 min and you don’t have to move them every 20 min to apply it. Just apply the pads, turn the pump on/off every 20 min, and refill the unit with ice every couple of hours. https://www.breg.com/products/cold-therapy/ Seeking out a palliative care doctor might also help. They often make house calls and are used to working with the limitations of elderly people who refuse hospital care. -

"I think I made mistakes" You THINK you made mistakes??? The reality and the need to take responsibility for his actions still hasn’t sunk in….sigh. I wish him well, but the delusion is strong in this one. -

Why do so many providers use tri/quad-mix instead of pills?

LMAO…I guess the blond is real….grin. And now we know why you don’t follow medical advice from online forums kids! Hey, at least he wasn’t trying to spray it up his urethra! -
So don’t pay when you meet them. Pay after. Problem solved.

I don’t doubt what your saying, but honestly I can’t find an Afrin product that contains Phenylephrine: https://www.afrin.com/products But my bigger concern is…injecting nasal sprays into your dick? 10 units??? WTF! That’s an extremely vague amount. People, please don’t get your medical advice from an online forum about hiring escorts. Just go to a competent Emergency Room. It’s not rocket science, but it is your dick. You only get one. Don’t fuck it up. -
What American city do you think has the hottest guys?

Corn-fed Midwest Blonds….exotic? I’m confused. -
But then how out of place would "2" feel?

I’m 99% sure. I even went back to compare them at the time and I noticed that one mentioned being Turkish and the other did not. My guess is that one of them updated their text. 10 years ago I would have said I was 100% sure….but I’m getting older….grin

Can’t say enough nice things about this guy. Although I haven’t seen him since the pandemic, I doubt his look has changed much. You may have to ask him to go a little lighter on the massage. His technique is DEEP but he’s happy to adjust. He’s playful and sexy as fuck. I also ran into him on the subway once and he was cute, warm, and friendly in public as well.
