If it goes away and stays away, without any other symptoms, I wouldn’t worry about it. Your prostate got hammered. Nothing more nothing less. If it keeps happening or if you develop any other symptoms, you need to get it checked out. I used to volunteer for the AIDS bicycle rides, and dudes would come in to the medical tent all night worried about blood in their semen. It was always from getting their prostate hammered by their bike seat for over a 100 miles every day. I’ve said it before, but we instantly knew two things: 1) you hadn’t really been training or you would’ve already seen this before and 2) you were fucking your tent mate.

I don’t know your medical history or risk factors, but your physician appears to be at least partially out of step with the most current CDC guidelines. I think you have to have a therapist that actually knows HOW to use a massage gun. To me it’s not a replacement for massage, it’s an entirely different experience. I had one trainer who was truly gifted at using it. I would argue in the right hands and for the right indication, it’s in someways superior to massage. Also, a bad massage gun treatment is better than a bad hands on massage. So if the guy sucks at massage, a massage gun might save the day. It will still suck but it will suck less. YMMV. PS I agree that if you walk into a massage appointment and see a massage gun in the room, you can assume the massage will suck.

No. Honestly, I’d live in the shower if I could. Every boyfriend has quickly learned not to speak to me in the morning until after I’ve showered. Then I’m human. Before? Not so much. I’d say I shower a minimum of 3 times a day. Yes, I’m the weirdo who showers before and after a work out. I also shower before bed, if I have the energy. It’s not really a clean/dirty thing. I just enjoy taking a shower. And if you don’t like having sex in the shower, I’m probably not the guy for you.
