Oddly enough, it doesn’t bother me that much, although it rarely happens when I’m in a session.

I’m sympathetic to both perspectives. Fortunately, some of my 20-somethings routinely address me as handsome when they text me or say they were relieved when I opened the door. They may be bullshitting, but at least they’re professionals.

They always tell me their real names for some reason, as I do mine. One even calls me by my childhood nickname, which he likes better than my given name.
