I’m in the minority, but I find Madrid far preferable to Barcelona. Barcelona’s best days are behind it. I love most other Spanish cities, especially San Sebástian.

Not a big thong fan, either.

My friends and associates always are puzzled by my hotel choices. While I can afford to stay anywhere, if it’s just me I generally choose Courtyard by Marriott or Hilton Garden Inns for business or “liaison” purposes. When in Europe I usually do really nice Airbnbs or more upscale Marriott properties, like Luc in Berlin. If I’m traveling solo I just don’t see the point in spending $700+ to stay in a luxury resort with all the fawning and amenity fees. I attribute this to some distant Mennonite ancestry!

I like a side nose ring on a cute twink, but not the thick septum ones. I also find a navel ring hot on the right type of slender body. Think theoriley in LA.

I could live in Slovenia on the Adriatic coast in Istra. Very Tuscan-like. Also, I used to think I could live in Latvia in the summer and Mallorca in the winter. The Sigulda area an hour from Rīga is beautiful.

With regulars it’s two hours since I love conversation before and after.

That’s been my experience over the past 20 years.

I know plenty and I don’t agree that they’re all happy and carefree. Several that I see don’t party at all, since they’ve lost parents to drugs. They’re part of the cohort of Gen Zers who don’t drink at all, which is an emerging trend. Of course, I’m not in LA or NYC, where the party life may be more common.

It’s one of the very few things that I don’t enjoy. That said, I do savor droplets of pre-cum, which are usually somewhat sweetish.

I’ll have to check his rep with my contacts in Vancouver. All the Vancouver boys I’ve been with have been superb. 10 years ago I saw one consistently for weekends and we still stay in touch; in fact, we had lunch when I was up there in January.

Think places with all “1-star”Google reviews (because you can’t rate 0) and consistent reports of bedbugs, mold and stained carpets and bedding.
