  1. I’ve never had my jeans dry-cleaned. These are the brands that fit me well: SMN Studio (still have a website, but exiting the biz), J Brand (also out of biz and, like SMN, LA-based and all made in USA), Frame, Raleigh Denim, Citizens of Humanity and Monfrére. I still have a pair of slightly ripped AG white jeans. All waist 31 or 32 and skinny/slim fit. Honestly, I have a denim fetish and the number of jeans I own is outrageous.
  2. Timely post! When I ride I use a Garmin 1030 which syncs with Strava. It’s accurate as hell. When I run, hike or walk I generally use the Strava app on my iPhone, which is also quite accurate. I finally bought an Apple Watch 8 last summer, and it always undercounts my mileage and is useless for my cardio/lifting program which I do every other day. I’ve only worn it a few times and hate it. I never put my gym time on Strava as a result.
  3. First time I’ve seen a provider wearing a leather hood and collar!
  4. I saw The Zone of Interest yesterday. I enjoyed it, if one can enjoy a movie about a genocidal SS commandant who lives a rather conventional life otherwise. It recalls Hannah Arendt’s “banality of evil”. Polish production scripted in German with English subtitles.
  5. I have my blood work done twice a year since I’m always charting the results, esp. Triglyceride/HDL ratios, which are generally well under the normal range. In May my PSA was elevated. I think it was because of the huge amount of cycling I do. It was slightly lower in November, but I saw a top urologist. He performed a brief rectal exam (yum) and said it felt normal but suggested an MRI, which showed no issues. That said, PSA tests twice a year and the recommended spacing of colonoscopies are two things that all men over 50 should adhere to. Both prostate and colon cancer are pervasive, but well managed if issues are caught early.
  6. I always “consider” such advice and then do my own research. Fortunately, I have no medical issues of note.
  7. I’m considering a mid-March trip to FLL and look forward to checking out these places. Any boutique inns that one would recommend? Doesn’t have to necessarily be gay. A small pool would be ideal. Thanks in advance!
