  1. My most recent long term boyfriend's ancestry was Spanish, Native American, and German. I, too, incorrectly assumed he was Serbian or Arabian when he answered the door at our first meeting. But that German dick convinced me otherwise! 😉
  2. Monkeypox cases also dropped when the media was instructed to stop using the name Monkeypox and call it something else. Perhaps the name change is the reason for the Monkeypox decline? (I'm joking, but using this to make a point that the decline might partially be due to the rollout of smallpox vaccinations, awareness of the disease, temporary abstinence among the affected population, change in the virus name, luck, or a little bit of all of the above).
  3. As small as the private dance area it's, I've been in there with 5 or 6 couples simultaneously. It's an awkward situation at first, but no one seems to mind by half way into the first song. It's actually kind of hot to be so close to someone getting a dance right next to you, especially with the type of dances you described in your post.
  4. I can't see his travel schedule. I assume you know something the rest of us don't, and are sharing. I'll be in Zurich end of July, and London beginning of August. So I'll be interested in meeting at least one of these guys every day.
  5. I've visited on Thursdays/Fridays/Saturdays in March 2019 and 2020. Thursdays are pleasant, probably more so to me than Fridays or Saturdays because it is less crowded but there are still plenty of dancers. In most U.S. cities, gay bars and adult business are usually not in downtown. Real estate prices are too high and zoning laws try to keep away seedy adult business from downtowns which try to attract luxury office buildings and condominiums. Gay bars and adult business are usually several blocks away in an industrial area with lower land value and fewer wealthy residential neighbors. Even in New York's Manhattan, gay bars are not located in the expensive Financial District or Midtown anymore. They are pushed to The Village and Hells Kitchen, which may be expensive areas now but were originally poor neighborhoods.
  6. There were several letters to the editor of the Wall Street Journal this week from active and retired little league umpires and coaches. One umpire said his league instituted a new rule that any parent who harasses an umpire is banned from games for the rest of the season unless he volunteers to be trained as an umpire and umpires at least three games for the league. One coach said he approached all the parents at the start of a game and told them that if any parent harasses an umpire or gives orders to their child on the field, then the coach would bench that player for the rest of the game. A retired umpire said he would go back to volunteering as an umpire in a heartbeat, but only if he could be guaranteed that all children on both teams were from orphanages.
  7. Age 18 for sexual consent is such a 20th/21st century idea. For most of human history, civilized humans were often married in their mid-teenage years. Therefore, I'm more inclined to support legislation that treats sexual consent at 12, 14, 16, and 18 differently rather than a hard cut off at 18. This is in line with my overall philosophy of getting young humans out into the world unsupervised earlier than age 18 to work, to navigate, to learn, to explore, to live.
  8. The saying "Age is just a number" should be revised to "Age is just a number - that the government keeps track of".
  9. This is a good reminder that vaccinations, like most things in life, are not always 100% effective. Let's hope that of the nine who received their vaccinations, most all hopefully experienced reduced symptoms of their Monkeypox infection. As for the reduced 1/5 dose allowed as an emergency declaration only, I made a personal choice to wait until full doses were offered in my hometown before getting the second dose of the vaccine to prevent Monkeypox.
  10. The atmosphere at the Tin Room is more left than right of center, especially for Texas. But I wouldn't call it "so off center". I'm sure there is a mix of all political affiliations at the club, and everyone gets along well. No one's there to discuss politics.
  11. Labels help me to keep track of my gentlemen callers. If I'm in the mood for certain activities, I know whether to call my bisexual/married/pastor/pig friend or my gay/single/bottom/safe friend, or my straight/married/oral only friend, or to hire from the Internet and sort there by the appropriate labels.
  12. To remember where you left something
  13. Agree. My childhood education regarding homosexuality was similar to the video presented by the original poster, despite growing up in the 1980s and 1990s. The only real difference was I experienced my childhood in living color, instead of black and white. 😆
  14. I'm sorry to hear that I would be disappointed traveling to South America. I had planned to visit Brazil and Argentina in 2021, but the pandemic from the virus from China cancelled my travel travel plans. It's still on my bucket list for the near future.
  15. Don't you mean "The Royal formerly known as Prince" 😆
  16. I saw him six years ago in 2017. I saw him for a two hour massage with play. I mostly remember the play, not the massage. The experience was pleasant enough. I do receive a text massage from him when he is coming back to my town, which is only about once per year.
  17. Y, TR is worth 2 go. Not been 2 TV yet. But I will go next time I'm in big D. TR was a little 2 the left
  18. There are several recommendations mentioned in this similar thread: https://www.companyofmen.org/topic/129930-nyc-muscle-worship/?do=findComment&comment=1906427
  19. The video served its purpose at the time it was made. It was common for boys to hitchhike, and most women didn't drive. Girls were already taught not to take rides from men. This video was a way of alerting boys that some men would try to take advantage of them as well. With today's culture, hindsight shows it would have been better to focus on pedophiles of both sexes who prey on children of both sexes. But just look at what that has done to Generation Z! Parents of Generation Z for the most part don't let their children have sleep overs, take rides, or play sports unless the parents are at every practice to watch over them. As well intentioned as these videos are, I think society is worse off for being so overprotective of our children.
  20. I've seen the video many times before. I still don't see how it relates to Men's Health (the topic of the forum). Am I supposed to get diet or exercise tips from it, or mentions of medications to ask my doctor about? It probably belongs in the old Politics forum, or maybe movies.
  21. I'm lost. What does any of this have to do with Men's Health?
  22. I just bought my ticket today for Back to the Future the Musical in London's West End. Dress circle, front row center. I'll be in London for almost a week in August. This is my only "must see" show, because I'm a Back to the Future fan and the show originated in London. On my other days in London, I'll stop by Leicester Square to see what tickets are available for cheep on that day.
  23. First live together for a decade or two, and then consider marriage.
  24. Make sure you start 2 hours before you intend to play. Then, about 30 minutes prior, visit the toilet to empty the water that has worked its way through the system.
