I had the pleasure of going to the drive in multiple times in the 1990s in California. It is now a shopping center. There is still an active Drive In Movie theater in Las Vegas, but it's not the same. The weather is too hot during the summer to enjoy it, so everyone leaves their car running with the AC on.
