Some may see the 10% tarrif in response to Australia 10% value added tax as applying equity, where previously it was cheaper to sell Australian goods to the U.S. than domestically because those wouldn't be subject to 10% value added tax. Regardless, these modest changes will disrupt some industries in the short term but overall most are happy that inflation has been slowing recently.

The Allegiant Stadium was 100% funded with tax payers dollars (only the land belonged to the Raiders, tax dollars paid for 100% of stadium construction), and the land and the stadium will belong to the owner of the Raiders at the end of 30 years. It is paid by an increase in hotel room tax. What did the taxpayers get besides a traffic nightmare before and after each game? The local university is allowed to use the stadium for its football games for the next 30 years, provided the university reimburse the Raiders owners for the cost of operating the stadium on University game days. Hardly a win for taxpayers.

I will be in Barcelona again next year between Ocean cruises, and again at the end of my last cruise. I'll be staying in Midtown near both Penn Station and PATH trains later this year. I've traveled between Newark Liberty airport EWR and Manhattan by monorail/train before. I just booked a future United flight out of EWR and wonder how bad is the monorail operation with the current construction? If my flight is departing from EWR Terminal A, is train from Penn Station to airport then monorail still the way to go, or should I just take a PATH train from midtown over to New Jersey, then Uber the rest of the way?
