Birthday gift-giving etiquette these days ?
+ Vegas_Millennial replied to Ali Gator's topic in The Lounge
Over the past ten years, different friends of mine have invited a group of friends of my choosing for dinner to celebrate my birthday. Sometimes one person may have brought a gift, but most did not. The only thing that was a gift was that they all chipped in to split the bill to cover the cost of my dinner. Similarly, I have friends who host a pool party for their birthday every year. Most people do not bring gifts. And if I got married at this age, after already having set up house for myself, I would not even expect gifts at a wedding. Sometimes I might show up with flowers or a bottle of wine if invited to a home cooked holiday dinner. Other times I might come empty handed. I am happy with this trend. I remember the company, not the gifts. The few gifts I did receive we so rare and thoughtful that I still remember them. One was a homemade gift basket of food products invented the year I was born. That was so much better than a gift card that I would have lost by now. -
I drink Malibu Rum and am told it makes mine taste like coconut 🥥

My personal preference is to only drink it directly from the tap.

Oh, I'm sure I have left some in a gas station bathroom or bar before. Just never in a classy place like Target or Walmart.

With near-hits on the rise do you feel safe flying?

I find it helps to be sitting in business class with a glass of champagne in hand before takeoff to help calm the nerves 🍾 -
Speaking only for myself, I've never left any of my sex toys at Target or Walmart. I

I really don't care for the cooking in one family's household. When they host a holiday meal, I offer to stop by for drinks and conversation before their meal and then head to a gay bar afterwards. I always have a good time. There are several gay bars here that still put out food on Thanksgiving and Christmas. If either my family or I am out of town for a holiday, I usually celebrate by hiring an escort for that morning. I have fond memories of several Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day escorts.

As long as there are no roundabout on the way to the airport, then I feel safe flying. There are way too many near-hits on some roundabouts. -
Sounds like a word for word description of Generation Y when they were younger, also known as the "Me" generation or the "MyMTV" generation. Nothing wrong with that! By contrast, Millennials forgot how to learn to socialize in person and to earn money, because their parents arranged their activities and education for them, and let them live at home well into adulthood. So, few Millennials were interested in finding a meaningful relationship period, much less a meaningful relationship with someone they would have had to meet by leaving their house. (I'm exaggerating a little, but all stereotypes and generalizations are exaggerations).

On the contrary, that has very much been my experience. My first boyfriend was 17 years older than I was. Most of the men I hire are older than me (I started hiring in my 20s). On a recent holiday, I partnered with a man 22 years my senior, and another man 22 years my junior.

My experience with Christian at 69 has been similar. 🔥 Although I don't remember his Baseball cap, I do remember his jockstrap while all the other dancers had underwear 😁

In the U.S., I tip with $2 U.S. bills. (The ones with Thomas Jefferson on them). In Mexico, I tip in pesos.
-
I respectfully disagree. When in Puerto Vallarta I pay in pesos. The boys are happy to be tipped 20 pesos (little more than 1 U.S. dollar) and 10 minute private dances start at 500 pesos (little more than 25 U.S. dollars). I can get escorts to my room for 1000-2000 pesos (50 to 100 U.S. dollars). I have been going every year for 6 years, and have regulars who welcome me with open arms when I walk into 69. Sure, I can pay more and get more, but I'm happy with the level of service these men provide for the prices they ask.

The most beautiful Christmas Tree in the world
+ Vegas_Millennial replied to foxy's topic in The Lounge
Yet another reason to celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas, beginning on December 25. There's time to buy items on sale for the remaining 11 nights of Christmas. -
I put up my decorations at the start of December, and take them down 12 days after December 25 (January 6). As a child we took them down on New Year's Day, but as an adult I enjoy celebrating the full 12 days of Christmas.

To avoid seasickness, avoid taking any boat into the ocean and instead travel by ship. Ships are bigger and more stable in choppy waters than boats. Ocean liners (which the Queen Mary 2 is) are even better than cruise ships for crossing the Atlantic. Their sleek design and front help to cut through the waves at faster speeds. Regardless if you take a cruise ship or an ocean liner, book a cabin mid ship and on a low deck. These rooms are closest to the center of mass of the ship and will rotate less during choppy weather. As for medication, Dramamine works but also makes one sleepy. Medications need to be taken BEFORE sea sickness occurs. On my first few cruises, I took Dramamine as soon as we left the dock on the first day, and took each day thereafter for the first few days of the cruise. I slept a lot those first few days. I now no longer use the pills, but have them in my suitcase just in case. But I still avoid boats including yachts, catamarans, and the ship tenders because I know their motion is unpleasant for me.

He has switched from "Safe Only" to "Ask Me"!

Thank you. Anyone who would trade liberty for security deserves neither and will get neither. Wherever I move next will be a place that makes me happy. It will be within my price range and I will pay cash. I'm not going to quibble about a few more thousand dollars per year in insurance or real estate taxes, as long I am happy where I live. Right now, that place looks to be like Ft Lauderdale.

For me it's relative to how I like the post/Pic Like = I liked the guy in the Pic...my type or just plain nice Love = a step above like I LOVE the Pic/guy(s) in the poster Party hat = I use almost exclusively for pics with more than one person...let's all get together and play! I thought it was universally understood: Like = He looks pleasant. Love = I am ready for a monogamous committed relationship with the man in the photograph. Applause = He looks like an upstanding citizen who spends time giving back to the community by volunteering for charity. Party = Let's meet, adorn party hats, get drunk, play pin the tail on the donkey, snort some powder, and have a gang bang wearing handcuffs and puppy masks.

ESCORT APPEARANCE: What do you expect when you meet your escort?
+ Vegas_Millennial replied to ICTJOCK's topic in The Lounge
If it's summer, a tight fitting pair of jean shorts and a tank top does wonders clinging to an escort when they arrive at my door. Yum! -
Sensual may mean that extra senses are involved, such as the use of aromatherapy and music during the massage. Erotic may mean that someone might get aroused. Honestly... Don't put too much weight into the type of massage offered. I've had penetrative sex during a massage with "Therapeutic only" providers. On the other hand, I've had "Erotic" massages without any touching of the genitals and the masseur remained clothed. I still kept going back to that "Erotic" masseur because he gave a damn good therapeutic massage and his rate was reasonable. When I asked him outright for an "Erotic" massage during a repeat visit, he replied that it was Erotic because I was naked and he worked my glutes and thighs. So, yeah, I don't really pay attention to those categories. If I'm looking for guaranteed sex, I just hire an escort.
